He gets money because he worked hard to get where he is.

Degrees can be useless if you are not aware of the demand. Not everything will ever be favourable, and you should be aware of that. Our dependence on money has made the job word unfavourable for those going into the work and for those who have to do work, and this will remain unchanged for a very long time, most likely.

Give yourself many options for jobs, be aware of the current job demands in your area, and how downright expensive it really is to live. Try to interact with people, having an unfavourable job will become so much better if you have friends there or people you enjoy speaking to. Don't stand with discrimination and harassment, you still deserve respect...but prove that you should be respected as well.

Treat yourself to good things once in a while, but save -- learn how to manage money. Give yourself spending caps. Your rent, your water, food...all those essentials in living should come first.

One of the flaws in education that financial management isn't taught as early as it should be, but it's starting to be added very early on in places, Canada including. As well, parents tend not to tell their children about their money situation and it does not give them any realistic ideas, and many parents are defensive whenever a child asks how much money they make and so forth.

Learn how to do your own taxes.

Learn how to become more self-sustaining. Practise it even if you are currently still living with people. Take care of yourself, and sometimes you need to compromise yourself while doing that.

Don't take friends for granted -- don't take people for granted, don't take money for granted, don't take yourself for granted and don't take life for granted.
