So I really want to buy Bioshock Infinite . . . [CLOSED]

However, I have encountered the following problems:

1. My mother hates video games and will probably not let me buy it.
2. Even if I can convince her, I need money.
3. If I get money, I need to know whether to get a special edition of the game.
4. If I get the game, I'll probably be too scared to play it for fear of a jump-scare.
5. If I do play it, I'll probably suck.
6. If I get good at it . . . Well, I guess everything's fine, then.

So I was wondering . . .

1. How can I convince my mom?
2. How much money will it cost?
3. Which version is the most worthwhile?
4. Are there many jump-scares (I already know of one, but otherwise . . .)?
5. How can I not suck at it?
6. Will I be missing much if I don't get to play it?

If anyone could help me, that'd be great!

uh oh a wild wild will appear

Really though, you should tell your mother that it's supposed to be a very artistic game.
And it's not really a horror game, so jump scares are not something you should be worried about too much.
And it's supposed to be quite the experience, so you may be missing out. Elizabeth seems like such an endearing character too.

I heard it's extremely violent and bloody though.

^ Truthfully, it isn't as violent as some other games. No guts, just decapitation and a lot of blood.

NO jumpscares at ALL.

Will still be checking the forums every now and then!

There's only one suppose jump scare. In that same level there's this wheelchair that gave me the "Oh ****!"
That level is kinda creepy anyways.
There are torture scenes. Only one of them seems "hardcore".
Crows are sent to a man and he is tied up. They start biting him until you enter through the door.

You'll see a pinkie finger come off. But is not as bad as you may think. The setting when seen is not really on "Oh my god, the finger came off!".

If money is one of your consern then just get the game by itself.

You can try it on Easy or Normal.
I immediately jumped on hard and the only irritating part was the first ghost fight. Oh my god, that fight! And on 1999! For **** sakes!

You'll mostly stick to a specific weapon set. I found the best was sniper and shotgun. For 1999, I mean. On hard I used the Carbine and Hand Cannon. Regarding vigors, I mostly used Possession. It makes the game easier to get by. I don't think you would really suck on it.

Play it! Yes, you should definitively play it. For me, is around my top games. Definitively around top 5.

I don't know how you would convince your mother.
Maybe "All the cool kids are playing it"
Or go with Sonicbrawler's advice. That's a good idea. Do that first.

I suppose you could find it as a used game for $56.99. New is probably $59.99.
It has replay ability so that's good. I'm on my third game already!

I would say to get it on PC. Really beautiful!
