Two places are listing Skylanders Imaginators starter packs that are exclusive to PS4 called "Crash Editions". However, it's just two sites out of thousands, and very much in the rumor side.

People are super mad nonetheless.

Okay now help me: How should a Crash fan like me feel about it?

Like, two of my favorite franchises together is a big dream. But, for the other side, I have fear of Crash being "stuck" in the series like Spyro, but I think that the only reason that they would put Crash in the game is to promote something, because, well, Crash is mostly a old school character forgotten by the kids of new generations. Another thing is that, if it's PS4 exclusive, I probably can't get him, considering money and other consoles being bigger priority.

All in all, I'm excited and in fear at the same time. Hope that things will clean up after E3.

I talked about that in general discussion. If he doesn't get put on Skylanders, he'll just stay dead until Acti gets any interest again. There's no good option for older fans, just one that keeps him relevant for the next generation.
