There are very strict rules on this - it boils down to the item must have made it to the floor before it gets sold (i.e. the consumer had a chance to get it).

My wife works for a retail chain and whilst she picks up some bargains (not SL related but to do with kids clothes, shoes and homeware), those bargains were all on display to the customer for quite some time until my wife finishes her shift and buys them like a normal customer.

Agreed.
One person should not be in possession of "more than 10" of these.
Would love to find out who the Seller is on this, and give him/her a piece of my mind.

I think the ire is directed at Frito Lay because the sweeps rules clearly state, only 4 per household address. Whereas they allowed one person to run off with almost 20, when some people haven't even won a single one yet.

That's appreciated. It's actually not a perk to work somewhere that has something you want but a downside like at places like GameStop where their policy doesn't let them pre order certain things in their own store.

I know how sad this sounds ... and I can not say for certain that this particular seller is a faker ... but the truth is that there are a lot of eBay sellers (not just for Skylanders) that will claim to be military veterans (even though they aren't), simply because they know some American buyers will be attracted to that for sentimental reasons.

Matteo.... The Wal-Mart in my town has a ton of figures where the backing fell off like that one. I am assuming that is what happened here.

The backing on that one didn't just "fall off", it was ripped off because you can see that force was used to rip the paper from the plastic. When they fall off the plastic and the cardboard are usually pretty cleanly separated. Gotta wonder why an employee would rip open a package and then have to be "saved" from being discarded? Makes no sense to me.

i was gonna buy that until it went up in retail.
well, i agree, i bought at least 14 bags when i first saw them 3 days before the expiration of the sweepstakes, and did not win. this guy won 12, and selling it too overpriced, he's nuts. i bought mine for $55.00 free shipping anyway. which i'm not happy, do they think we have cash cows, or money trees??? well no, we can't keep on feeding them scalpers $$$ because they were lucky to steal toys from little kids and other people. sure, i sold a extra character i got and sold it for just $5.00 more then retail. a good ebay price would be maybe be up to $10.00 more with most items today, * not compatible with vintage items though, for sure. * i work hard for my money and i feel shameful that i spent that much on a toy and fed that person a cash buffet.

that's an example of a scalper trying to get the attention of those semi quarter witts who are watching that item. a scalper's best friend is cash, and lot's of it!!! might as well laugh at them when we see it.

I know some overprice the items they sell on ebay, but ebay needs to lower the Final value fee at this moment it is 10%-12% and if you charge shipping they charge you a fee on shipping charge also so if i bought a figure at tru that is 10.99 plus tax which is now 11.69 so i sell it for 19.95 free shipping on ebay now you take 10% for ebay final value fee that is $1.99 so now i have 11.69+ 1.99=13.68 then i have to ship it that is at the lowest 4.38 now i have 13.68+4.38=18.06 and then the paypal fee for the transaction that is .52 now i have 18.06+.52=18.58. so you take 19.95-18.58=1.37 is all i make... oh wait i forgot about the gas and time it took me to get it. Now i have broke even WOW. So add it up the higher the sale price the more money Ebay makes. Unless you got the item really cheap it is not worth selling on ebay unless you sell it for more than above retail.
