Ok, so I got the mobile iOS starter kit, and downloaded battlegrounds, and the textures are HORRIBLE on my ipad. i then looked up some gameplay on youtube just to see if it REALLY looked that bad. Well, it isnt supposed to look that bad. Is it because my ipad is the first one? or do i just need to update it? (i forgot the last time i did that, so there should be one.) any help would be appreciated.

I don't think that Battlegrounds supports the G1 iPad, or it might just depend on your OS - I'll have to go and check.

Edit: No, says any version of the iPad. But, it does say you need iOS 5.1 or later - so if you haven't updated your OS in ages, then you'd need to. BUT, that would mean updating it to iOS 6... Which you might regret.

ok, i plugged the iPad into iTunes to update, and after a long process of updating and syncing, it said that my iPad was up to date with iOS 5.11, not 6. Is it possible to update 1st gen iPads to iOS 6??

EDIT: googled it. 1st gen iPads can't update. I guess everything will have to look like multicolored blobs.
