They landed in some sort of strange smelling patch. A giant mushroom patch to be precise. Still, it did little to stop Karu and Kitty's fall as they landed in it. He must have broken dozens of mushroom stalks as he crashed into the ground. However, he was used as a cushion and Kitty didn't have too much of the impact but still enough to take the breath out of her. Karu groaned, the pain was pretty bad on his left shoulder as he landed on it.

He sat up, shifting his left arm a bit. Suddenly the pain spiked and he bit his lip, drawing blood while his muscles clenched from the pain and he closed his eyes, holding his arm. Karu took a few minutes before slowly standing up. "Let's keep moving. We're on.....the other side. Let's find the rest of your group." He grunted and picked up the two crystals he dropped from the fall, stuffed them in his bag and slung his bag over with his right arm, his left arm he slowly let it hang limply, as painful as it was. Then he moved. You could see that almost all the arrows in his quiver were broken due to the fall.
