The new wired portals feel like they are of a lesser Quality [CLOSED]

When my wireless one lights up the glyphs on the front light up as well but they don't on the wired. There are other differences as well but they are just cosmetic. But I do feel they could have done a better job on the wired portal.

How long is the cord? My guess is not very (not long enough for my playing area, anyway).

At least the sides are clear on the console one. The 3DS one got badly nerfed cause now the sigils on it are just totally painted over and the light is dimmer. I agree though but still worth buying the SP anyway.
