So, there is that Microplay in Quebec city you know... and they got Wham-Shell.

They decided to put a "Rare" sign next to it and raised the price to 20$ instead of 10$.

Seriously, is it even legal?

Don't companies give a store a price to sell things for? I'm not the one to know but I'd say they're not aloud to do that

Depends if the company has already fully purchased the figure and has given the money to activision price then they could sell it for as much as they want.

I havent updated since I don't particularly care but I have gotten all the skylanders except varients only ones are glow Warnado and WERDS

Wow seriously? Is it every store up there or just this one in particular? (Of that branch).
That...doesn't sound legal at all smilie You're probably able to get him on ebay for less than that now'a days...jeesh.

Honestly, yes its legal. Retailers purchase these items and are given a suggested retail price, but this is a suggestion. Market forces are still in play.

However,this is bad business and makes customers desire to shop at this place ,

Right after Christmas TRU rose there prices for singles, triples and adventure packs. Soon afterwards other retaolers did as well. This is just a function of supply and demand.

Very rarely do retailers decide to give different prices to different figures within the same assortment. It is problematic to inventory tracking.
and can lead to a company being able to manipulate stock and inventory prices artificially. Unless you are an investor or competitor willing to make legal claims on this basis its legal.

The thing in that case, is that it's only THAT Microplay... so it looks like the owner of that shop might get a free 10$ in his pockets =/

It's sad when even retailers start to rise their prices...

This changes things somewhat. If I were you I would take a picture and contact corporate. If this store is acting independently this will end it quickly unless the chain allows independent stores mark up or individualized seller rights.
