He doesn't really speak english lines, he's saying 'Rock rock rock!'.

Bash is one of the Skylanders who speak gibberish, in his case, saying only 'Rock'.

Only 14 of the Skylanders were given english lines in the game, including Spyro, Cynder, Ignitor, Eruptor, Flameslinger, Stealth Elf, Zook, Lightning Rod, Hex, Chop Chop, Stump Smash and Gill Grunt.

I always thought it sounded like he was saying "Rock and roll!" considering it's his catchphrase, but in a gibberish-ish language. If that makes any sense.

That's how it appears, yes. It seems like when the skylander's put on the portal, it shows special artwork, then the Skylander says their official "battle-cry".

That was in the beta version of the game, now in the updated gameplay, they appear in the game very much like in SSA, but saying only their catchphrases.

I was watching the giants trailer (the first one) and noticed that around 55 seconds in Wrecking Ball has a line with actual words.
