Buying Doubles? [CLOSED]

Anyone else buy a 2nd set to keep unopened? I did and Im realizing what a waste of money it was. Even if I sold the whole set it would take months to sell individually or as a set and even with flocked stump and limited edition cynder I wouldnt get out of them what I paid for them at this point. I defibitely will not be doing this with giants. What do those of you who bought doubles plan to do with them? They will only go down in value from this point onm

i bought my original set and kept them all packaged, no im collecting a second set to have opened and to upgrade them on their second path

Meh. If you wanted both upgrade paths it isn't a complete waste unless you never used your unopened set. I still think that packaged Skylanders look nice if you have some sort of display for them.

I have only one set, and I play with them in their packaging. You can play with them still, the portal can read the chip just fine through the packaging.

I do however have some doubles, but its pointless really. I plan to sell them all eventually...maybe.

Probably, but if you try to sell it as a complete boxed set, you might be able to get your money out of it. Someone who wants to get into the Skylanders collecting gig late in the game would be your target audience. It's worth a shot.

Unopened? Nah. They're toys. People overreact too much.

If you wanted to keep the toys in the packaging, you can still play with them, because the portal reads the RFID chip through the plastic packaging. Although it would be a hassle for putting multiple Skylanders or magic items on the portal.

I cheated with the Empire of Ice & Darklight Crypt adventure packs and played them through the plastic smilie
