Skylanders: Mask of Power - Spyro Versus the Mega Monsters Novel [CLOSED]

It seems that there will be another Skylanders novel released in January 2013. And also a hint on a new Skylanders story series. http://www.penguingroupstockli...3&titleId=17309

Summary
Super-sized critters are popping up and causing havoc all over Skylands! Spyro and his fellow Skylanders set out on a mission to work out what's going on and save the day - but it seems the scheming Kaos is intent on beating them to it. Based on the characters from the smash hit Skylanders video game, Spyro versus the Mega Monsters is the very first novel in the new Mask of Power story series.

I havent updated since I don't particularly care but I have gotten all the skylanders except varients only ones are glow Warnado and WERDS

Doubt it, the Skylanders book series takes place before the events of the Skylanders games. Kaos wouldn't be in the book if this took place after SSA because he is stuck on Earth.

I hope more characters are featured (Trigger Happy!) and that we are given a bit more information on the lives of the Skylanders before they became skylanders.

It could. Kaos has been confirmed as returning as a villain in Giants.

Sigh. You know those books that are based on movies? Like those rare times where you say, the movie was great, but the book...
Are these comics (or whatever they are) like that, (only worse than the video game, not the imaginary movie)?

Yeah but the book series takes place before Giants.

No they are not comics, Firehead. They're novels.

The first Skylanders novel, The Machine of Doom, takes place before the events of Spyro's Adventure, it had several pictures in it and told us a lot of insight on the featured Skylanders and characters.

Ending should have chop-chop smash everything and become overlord...because a skeleton chopping up everything should be funny...right...right.

You know this forum is going to go nuts again when a Skylanders novel decides to have cynder in it.

No they are not comics, Firehead. They're novels.

I'm just taking an educated guess. If it does take place after SSA but before Giants do you think they'll make the storyline coincide with Giants?

I like the idea of this, and even though it's aimed at 8+, I'm sure I'll find them interesting. Just hope I don't have to pay a fortune on toys to read it. Though adding characters and items to the book with the portal would be AWESOME!

Cavan Scott will once again be writing a Skylanders, this time, the Mega Monsters novel. Stealth Elf, Jet-Vac, and Drill Sergeant will be the Skylanders going along with Spyro in this adventure.
