Then, as soon as flocked Stump comes, see if you can't sit TFC and TFH next to each other, freeing up the bottom spot for FSS

stand is off ebay (i usually have six lined up under my tv with skylanders on). they are only displayed this way for the photo as i needed to put something dark behind the crystal variants so they would show up.

make me wonder if all the skylanders will have a variant?

They have 16 variants as of now. Another 16 to go?

EDIT: I will say, that if they did variants of Adventure Pack Skylanders, then man, would those be hard to get.

The golds and silvers don't look at all how I thought they would... all the boxed pictures give a more shiny impression than they really look.

Except there are 2 Cynder variants... so you'd need 17 more still... and if Toy Fair Cynder isn't included in the "one variant of each Skylander" then Toy Fair Hex might not either... so 18.

I liked the way it was arranged originally better. The 2nd way is not so awesome for some reason. You should toss in the Legendary figures and store exclusives too...and a mini disco ball.

For the first time I'm insanely jealous about the variants...

Boxed, they all looked pretty ugly to me. Why have solid colour renditions when you could have painted ones with so much more character...

But seeing them unboxed makes me actually want these more than... than... Something very important to me

yea cuz he would spend all that money on glow/clear/blue/toy fair but then decide to fake the rest....

if i ever got variants I would want to open them, but then i remember that then everyone would think there just fakes. so i just never bothered buying any.
i mean i can see if loose ones show up on ebay, yea be suspicious, but when a member is just showing off his collection, next to other variants that you cant be faked, cant we just give him the benefit of the doubt?

i bought them for the enjoyment of my sons and myself.

i have no intention of selling in the future so all boxes went into the garbage as i have no intention of faking the fact that they were never opened.

i don't care if others think they are fake as i know they are all genuine.

Really? All of them are real? I trust you on that, I was just a little suspicious because the paint looked off. Maybe that's just how the camera got it? Or, maybe they look different in the box. But if you say they are real, then I believe you.

the paint does look different when photographed inside a box. the silver and gold paint finish is in reality duller compared to the metallic cynder.

Really no reason not to unbox them, I suppose. With a hairdryer and any generic packaging, they can be re-boxed at virtually any time down the line, should you have second thoughts. They do look a lot better this way than packaged.

Wow, I agree with Nroc-Nuika -- variants look much better unboxed. If anyone bought these as an investment to sell later, the price will definitely go up with this picture around.

My question is--are the silvers, golds, and glows painted or is that the color plastic they are made out of? If they are painted, what color plastic is underneath?
