How much did they retail at Best Buy for? I see they are selling on ebay for around $25 to $30. I'm bidding up to $15 because it doesn't seem like a must have item as all it seems to do is unlock a new battle arena.

$25 at best buy exclusive and they dont sell it anymore but I got mine for $15!

buy skylanders stuff for 25$ at bestbuy and they will give it to you free.

In the US they were included in some starters free at the onset of the game thru Best Buy only. They were rereleased, thru Best Buy once again, free with $25 skylanders purchase. You are correct in the thought that they only unlock the pvp level.

It's mostly just a item if you're collecting the figures and stuff. It's not really that special in it's own right, and certainly doesn't really matter in the main game. (In fact, the level is apparently just a reskin of another PvP level)

I purchased 3 - 3 packs two weeks ago at best buy. I asked if they had any volcanic vaults left, and they said no. I knew, at a different best buy...they had placed the box under the counter...as they had no skylanders to sell for people to get it "free". I went back there with my receipt, probably 10 days ago...and they returned the 3 items, and re-rang them up along with 2 volcanic vaults. They both came off for free, on the same order. They also had three more left. I tried to get them to give em to me, but no luck. Just keep asking!! Good luck!! ....they are still out there, if you look hard enough!

I was in best buy this weekend and noticed the starter pack have a sticker that show they come with volcanic vault.

I went and bought 3 figures and they gave me a vault. They didn't ring it up, they just handed it to me. So I took back the figures that I didn't need the same day to the other BB. Free volcanic vault!
