I knew toys r us had recently raised figure prices. Just realized today that gamestop also did. Have any other stores raised them too and I just missed it?

The price of a single figure has been raised by £1 in the UK since after Christmas (I only got collecting after Chrimbo).

I knew Toys r Us was always a bit higher. I just checked out Gamestops site and they still show 19.99 for the triple pack and 7.99 for the singles but none in stock. Did you go to the store and notice the higher prices? and also what were the new prices?

doesn't really make a difference in england as there is never any stock to buy anyway

I think they hiked up the price after the new year. Or at least right after they sent out those coupons because they stated for a figure between $7.99-$9.99. It's a bit disappointing really, since TRU kind of had a monopoly with 2 exclusive sets (for a while anyways) but now that they don't any more, it doesn't make sense to push customers away.

Although it's a good business model. They saw how these things were flying off the shelves, so imagine everyone buying them for even .50 more. $1.00 more; how much more money they could make.

I have a uneasy feeling that if and when Skylanders 2: Electric Boogaloo comes out, the figures will probably be $9.99.

I purchased a 3 pack @ gamestop last week for $19.99 so I dont see any price increase here. Target is still $7.99 (but they dont have any) and walmart is $7.96 (and they dont have any). And this reminds me that I have 3 weeks to find singles of whirlwind and double trouble in order to return the 3 pack.

The price hike is the sole reason why I do not keep tabs so closely on TRU as well. Well that and I cant us my TRU coupons on the figures either.

Quite a few Gamestops in my area have singles priced for $9.99, but are still ringing up for $7.99. Their adventure and triple packs are the same $19.99 price everywhere else.

yea in my area Gaemstop is asking $19.99 for Adventure Packs, $19.99 for Triple Packs and $7.99 for single characters, and $60.99 for the starter kits, $49.99 for the 3DS version. And all of that is a dollar off if your a platinum member and u use your card. which i do lol.

Wal-mart is the same and kmart and shopko. =) (in my area these are the prices anyways lol) My area is Iron Mountain, MI.

So far only my local Toy'R'Us has the $9.99 single character packs and $24.99 triple pack price increase like their other stores. I haven't encountered any price increases yet at my local GameStops or any other stores in Snohomish and Everett area of WA.

It's true. When I was at Rego Center the TRU there had Wave 1 and 2 single packs and they cost $11.49!

Toys R Us Times Square around xmas time was charging like $11.99 for single packs... They had a giant bin full of single wave 1 and wave 2 characters smilie
