It's just a sign of things to come when Giants is released.

Not figure related but I've know for a while that Penny's (Primark in Ireland) had Skylander t-shirts but today was the first time I managed to buy one. I have not seen these in the UK yet, but know we know let's storm all the Primark stores for the full set!

I think so, I didn't have a huge amount of time in that shop today. I grabbed the largest shirt which is 32-33". I think that works out at Men's Small size. If I feel brave, I might make mine into a girl cut

I can confirm that you can pre-order Giants in TRU Brislington, Got my copy ordered, I asked a member of staff who they would be getting in on launch, he said "We will be getting both game packs, a few new characters and a exclusive pack"?!

The website also has pre-orders up for booster packs... looks like we only get tree-rex in it though :/ Might just get the portal pack... another interesting thing i didnt know is the 3ds giants are smaller! I know the portals are smaller but i hadnt thought of them shrinking the giants!

SO yesterday I noticed two whamshell in stock on Amazon for £7.99 so my boyfriend kindly ordered one for me (had a very bad day yesterday with a certain company charging my bank account twice for something almost making me overdrawn)

Also noticed I had enough reward points on GAME to redeem for a skylander, so Camo is on the way

I'm going to to one in Birmingham as the one in London is via Lollibop and you need to buy a ticket to get to the event.

I can report that the event in Birmingham has been delayed by two hours due to technical difficulties. It now starts at 12 as opposed to 10am. No need to rush up then everyone

Wham-Shell arrived!

I've noticed something interesting, it says 6+ at the top left corner, when together with my other boxed skylanders, only other one that has this is chrome spyro..... blue bash and headless whirlwind do not have this on the box :S odd

So after having almost a month of constant guests over at my house or me going away to events, I finally got the time to clean my house, part of which involves washing the floors and forcing me to sit on the sofa while the floors dry. So during that time today I decided to do a ring around to three companies and ask about the Sidekicks and Red Drill Sarg.

Call #1 Walkers Re:Sidekicks
The lady I spoke no had no knowledge of any Skylanders promotion. She did ask about it, so I described the style of the Sidekicks promotion (collect coupons/barcodes and post them in), but it didn't ring any bells with her.

As the lady on the Consumer Care Team said "Walkers only does UK based promotions and they don't tend to mirror the US".

Call #2 Asda Re: Red Drill Sargent
I got through to a lady called Claire, who was ever so helpful. She took my details (name, phone number and email address) and eventually noted that I was asking about Red Drill Sargent (she assumed Skylander/s was just one character - bless). She informed me that she/Asda would contact the Buying Team and then I would be contacted in around a fortnight.

So good news there - keep your fingers crossed everyone!

Call #3 Activision Re: Promotional figures (Sidekicks/Red Drill Sarg)
I got through to a guy with such a thick American accent I could barely make out his name, I think it was Tony. I asked him (or attempted to he kept trying to talk over me) if the promotional figures in the US would be coming out in the UK. He kept saying I should try my local stores, and I kept explaining that these were promotional figures not available in shops.

He eventually stated that this number was only for reporting faulty products (not that it said that on the automated voice). He did state that all Skylander characters are region free and will work Worldwide, to which I replied I (and I assume other fans) were not willing to pay up to £100 on eBay for figures that should be coming out in the near future and all I wanted to know was some information on when that might be. He suggested I should not pay that amount for figures.

I asked if there was another number I could call to find out more information on the promotional characters, but he didn't know. He also suggested I try reading websites and try the Retailers as they have the release dates of the characters.
Clearly this call was a waste of my time

We're sure to get the SideKicks one way or another... Maybe they'll just release them in shops? It'd be unfair to not release in game content to worldwide players.

I hope so. I think it was Spore that had a US-only promotion for exclusive parts, and that apparently caused a huge uproar.

So I decided to ring the Multimedia Manager (Wonderful Craig) in TRU Collier's Wood in relation to some Giants information (read about that here, but some interesting Spyro's Adventure items popped up in that chat. Things like; Sidekicks, Shelf warmers and new distribution of figures.

So I asked about the Sidekicks and Craig only knew bits and pieces, but enough to know that currently TRU wouldn't have them in, at least not for a bit. He mentioned he would ask Head Office about this.

Shelf Warmers (non selling stock) have now become (regular) Bash and the odd Legendary Trigger Happy in his store. The recent sale on the TRU website was just to move these Skylanders on.

The distribution of figures has changed from the 6 in a box to 4 in a box. The new 4 in a box is full of newer popular characters (he gave the example of LRod, Warnado, Camo and Zook).

Some stores may also have less Skylanders on the shop floor, as a good chunk of the stock is being sent to the website warehouse stock.

really annoyed at amazon. The boomer 3 pack is in stock but wont dispatch until Aug 29th? what is this madness? Also the drobot 3 pack is out of stock so im not so worried ....but still if something is in stock I dont see why I'm waiting.

I rang back looking for Sheena in Marketing twice. The first time was at around 11.30am (after my postman arrives) and I just got the answering machine, so I hung up. I recalled just after 2pm (after lunch) and was told that Sheena is off until Monday

Amazon sucks for Skylanders - sorry! I had pre-ordered EoI from them, but cancelled and picked in up in Collier's Wood TRU almost a month before Amazon shipped it out.

A lot of online store say something is in stock, but at the very end of the process actually tell you different. Play.com did that to me with Flameslinger, but he did ship with the rest of my order a few days later.

I picked up 2 of the books from Tesco yesterday! Macine of doom for 3.98 and Magic and Tech for 2.98. Might of been the other way round... i forget.

Hello! Long time since I posted! Just wanted to say my prize from Suger Puffs competition ARRIVED and I received a Stump Smash! I haven't got him so this is good for me!
