Does anyone know if Dark Spyro will be released in single packs or triple packs other than buying it for the 3DS?

In short, we do know and the answer is no.

The premise is that it will remain a 3DS exclusive to entice you to buy the game twice.

Of course, Toys for Activision may change their mind but the consensus is that they won't, sorry.

I say buy the 3DS version and resell it sans that fig; you will end up paying a relatively modest amount in the difference.

...But the 3DS version isn't the same as the others.

And Dark Spyro is exclusive to it.

If to me, then I know that the 3DS game is different and the exclusivity of Dark Spyro is incentive to invest in it.

Neither do I, hence my suggestion for reselling the game, minus the fig. That's what I did and I was not out of pocket by much; definitely lots cheaper than buying one online at marked up prices.

I don't have a 3DS either
If I do buy the 3DS game for Ignitor though I'll probably put Whirlwind in his place (if I get the Triple Pack with her) and sell it on eBay

My B-Day is coming in a few months, so I'll just ask for the 3DS version then. Then when I get it, I'll sell the game and portal, but keep the three figures. No money out of my pocket, and I get three awesome figures, two of which have a max stat.

Yes, it was to you. I said it because the phrase 'Buy the game twice' sort of implies there's no difference, to me at least.

The part about Dark Spyro himself was in response to the OP.

Not sure why the 3DS version and Console versions even have the same name, they're both so completely different.

If you DO have a 3DS and you're already into Skylanders, the 3DS version is such a great investment. I love the 3DS version so much it adds so much more personality to the Skylanders you already know and love smilie
