I noticed that the Slam Bam on ebay have a clear body and on the poster it has a solid body. I was wondering if anyone know if there is going to be a variant like sonic boom. Look here are pics of the sonic boom variant.

I think the posters (And the packages) are all using slightly outdated stock photos of the characters.

I've seen videos of unboxings with the all silver headpiece

Also, in the poster Dino-Rang's boomerangs are grey, while the toy's are gold.

Maybe they actually changed Slam Bam to clear blue....maybe less paint this way??? Save money?

Well no because the plastic is usually the base color of the Skylander, so they just changed the blue solid plastic for a blue see-through plastic... No paint saved =/

Yah you are right.....I looked closely at my Stealth elf....looks like she started off all brown!

My dad says it probably only takes about a couple of dollars for them to make the toys XD

Yes only a few dollars....but when you are dealing with a big supply like this, every penny or corner you can cut can save them big money!!!

If you look at the packaging of almost any toy, you see "styles may vary from shown."
Most stock photos are fully-painted/sanded prototypes that are made to look as nice as possible, which could also include digital touchups. While the sculpt usually doesn't change, paint details/colors might.

It's weird that they decided to make Slambam clear when it doesn't really make much sense. Maybe they thought water Skylanders catch light on the portal really well, or to look more special as an extra incentive to buy the adventure pack?

Looking at these pictures of Sonic Booms with all-silver headgear have made me think how dumb my Sonic Boom looks with his dark-grey-and-silver headgear.

My sonic boom looks like the one in the poster....

Slam Bam looks really cool on the portal since they did him in the clear blue! I wish more of them had the "clear" color.

Makes the most sense with Slam Bam, though. You know, the whole "ice" thing.

Could have had some clear red spots for eruptor. That would be cool.

My "Alaina" has a completely painted helmet... heh.. strange.
