Am I the only one who thinks that smilie's machine gun is probably one of the most damaging attacks in the game?

You see, the thing about GF Trigger Happy is, he tries being another Drobot, and ends up being inferior, with no dash attack, and the need to continually press the A Attack, rather than holding like Drobot's lasers. Golden Money Bags, however, stands very well on his own, with the problem being his low health and that is going to be improved in the sequel. And I agree that Golden Machine Gun is probably one of the strongest attacks when you can get it to hit. I especially like its long range.

golden frenzy is def the better path for story mode,
but not for PVP

Golden frenzy in pvp can be a threat if no melees like slam bam, bash or voodood come close to you because of your naturally low hp alot of melees can destroy you if the can get in close. Watch out for projectiles like drobot and ignitor (sotf) and barrier characters like zook. At close range any top tiers will kill you but the worst are probably the ones that can cause huge chunks of damage. Besides that trigger happy can beat alot of other projectiles because of his attack speed. GMB is a good path too but nothin can beat those bouncing bullets. Yamato blast kinda stinks because it takes a long time to charge and can be interrupted.

One thing to note. The bouncing bullets mean that you can't use the machine gun until they have stopped.

In my opinion, Golden moneybags is superior. Trigger Happy, when it comes to projectiles, is undoubtedly inferior to Drobot. But his Coin toss attack is unique, does a lot of damage, has long range, and has a splash addition. While the bouncing bullets are very good, they are still outclassed by Drobot. Sadly, Trigger Happy never has been very formidible due to his low health, but at least the coin toss is unique.

GMB is a good path for trigg but bouncing bullets are still worth picking golden frenzy. I play on the wii and my trigger happy got golden frenzy first. My legendary one got Golden money bags. Eatheir path is good for him but golden frenzy is hard to avoid and fast. AS for GMB its a great path but not as long range as golden frenzy. If you can get in close with GMB and your opponent can't escape or do enough damage to make you escape thats a easy win. Again both paths are quite strong and will make trigg a fast projectile or a beast hurler

GF Trigg's isn't great at PVP at all-the bullets just don't do enough damage, and without a way to escape(i.e. no dash move)he's going to be decimated by melee attackers, as well as pretty much everything. Those bullets aren't going to stop anyone from coming at you, and when they do...well it's game over for Triggs. Golden Money Bags however can actually do some damage to other landers-and therefore is the superior option. With some more HP, he could be a proper contender I think, but with just 400, he still doesn't stand a chance against the games elite.

I have been reading around and I don't think people give camos vine path enough credit for a couple reasons.

1.When you fully upgrade it it has more range than you think longer than the melon burst on its path.

2.The having two vines is better than you think if your opponent gets caught in the middle of it there getting a ton of damage on them.

3.the vines are especially good for getting a fleeing opponent in pvp since they have a slight delay between when you do the attack and when the final melon explodes.

just my opinion

I actually agree Vine Virtuoso is better. It's more balanced, because the Melons already do enough damage. Defense? Heal with the Sun, obviously.

That is why I like the vines on camo they split into two and you can defeat a lot of enemies with it. And I don't have drobot that's why okay tashiji.

Golden Money Bags. It's not an inferior Drobot, it's more versatile, and it simple looks cooler and can sum up huger damage... I could go on and on.

Third for Moneybags. It gives him something to do besides pretend to be Drobot, and the results are actually better than Golden Frenzy anyway, so it's not just a matter of finding a niche. He would actually be really awesome if his HP were a little higher; it's a damaging build with tons of versatility.

Exactly. If drobot was as rare as Wham-Shell, I would think differently about getting a replacement, but Drobot is one of the most common skylanders to buy.

I chose the Typhoon Titan path for Lightning Rod as I never found myself using his "Grand Lightning" attack, plus it is WAY more versatile and gives him that tiny bit of defensive power he needs. Also, I'm considering using Drobot's secondary path as it balances things out more. What do you guys think? Also, I'm on the PS3 version, if that means anything.

Edit: Sorry for double posting, new to the forums.

Also, I highly recommend the Golden Moneybags path for Trigger Happy to ANYONE. It's incredibly powerful. Also, what path should I choose for Dino-Rang, I'm REALLY torn. I like the fact that the Earth Avenger path gets extra armor, but I really want to increase the damage of the boomerangs. What should I go with?

Go with Grand Boomerang Master. It's far more powerful than numbers, or Dino Rang's reputation might indicate. Yes, you lose out on armor and more effective sand traps, but your upgraded Boomerang Shield, which now hits for 40 and has no limit to the number of successful strikes per use, is a far more effective melee deterrent anyway. The first time you see Slam Bam, Bash and the like rush up to score what they think is an easy win, and fall in a matter of seconds to a near-constant string of 40 damage carnage, you'll be hooked. Additionally, the remote-control boomerangs are deceptively excellent, making keep-away hugely ineffective against Dino Rang. GBM is, in my opinion,, equally defensive in its own way, and leagues more damaging.

As for Clockwork Dragon, it's a good path, there's no denying that. I don't feel it's quite as effective as Master Blaster, though. Even with the more damaging and explosive gears, you'll still be holding down the laser button more often than not, and that's the main problem--you'll still rely on the same main attack as Master Blaster. Bladegears are nice for utility, but the beauty of Drobot in the first place is that he's so simple and effective just doing what he does best. Think of it as Glacier Yeti vs. Blizzard Brawler. Conventional wisdom would dictate that the path with utility value would triumph, as usually it does in Skylanders, but somehow he's still way more effective just punching, and even on the path less traveled, you'll still be using punches predominately.

Grand Boomerang Master makes Dino Rang easily one of the best Skylanders in the game. He can easily beat Stealth Elf as long as you use him correctly. Set up a few traps (Works best in narrow areas) throw some rangs, let her hit the traps to get to you and run away. Just keep on setting up traps.

The thing with L-rod is that each path will be obliterated by different things. LL can easily be trumped by a close ranged attacker, while any ranged fighter can desteroy TT. I prefer LL for the little extra power that the grand lightening attack offers.

I've fully upgraded Dino-Rang, he's absolutely amazing, love him! Love the boomerang shield damage. What's even better is today I'm getting Whirlwind, my favourite that I've been wanting for AGES! I can't wait, I'll definitely go with the Tempest Dragon path, no matter how much I want the Ultimate Rainbower path.

prism break-crystaleer. if you wanna go for prismancer (increases damage done by lasers from 19 to 28) be my guest but u are gonna have a hard time aiming for enemies plus prismancer comes up a bit short of crystaleer (increase damage done by crystals from 20 to 40 and allows you to summon 3 at once and gives u 40+ armour) because with it u dont have to aim as much because u have 3 crystals and because they reflect off one another they will hit an enemy even without u aiming and u can use the crystals as an even deadlier attack
