Were I live everything is literally $10 more expensive than at Toys r us and all of those shops that sell them... $16 figures... Oh man, I'm going to go broke buying one of each element....
Anyone else feel the same way?

Aura does have a point. Since Christmas is right around the corner, business' will do their best to be in black for the next 10 months in the new year. Plus you also have to consider that January is usually when people start returning things.

In NZ we have $20 single-packs, $40/50 triple-packs, and $130 starter packs.

TRU online is still selling them for the regular price. Although I think it's only for a limited time since the price is probably gonna come down after Christmas.

i bet you the're just going to raise the price for christmas and then make it back to how it originally was before they raised it and probably have some sort of deal like buy two and get the third half price

The shops raised the prices of Skylanders marginally here, but not by a massive amount.

This isnt expensive compared to the fallowing things I have been into.

Competitive Magic the gathering $200-$400 every 4 months and an easy $300+ between

PaintBall $1000+ for good paintball gun $80-$100 for good paintballs other equipment $300-$400

Automotive Tuning/Street Racing will leave it at $150+ on wheels every four weeks just about

Compulsive buyer of video games. Trade it in buy it again trade it in buy it again......

Warhammer 40k you want to play Orks well this box comes with 20 boyz and is $40 cool now buy 4 more and your not even close to to done yet.

Skylanders isnt that expensive I would rate it on the level of buying rpg books. Sure its $50 for pathfinder core book and $30-$40 for other pathfinder books its done.

In comparison to other things a $8 figure is pretty good price. Thats how much Some dnd and pathfinder figs go for. They also do more.

I haven't seen any Skylanders stuff for a while, so I don't know what they've raised the prices to...
