Website says not in stores. Just went to target and they have tons of them. Why would they do that?

Target's online and actual store warehouse is different for one. Also it takes time to update the site. Trucks come whenever they feel like it so you can expect that its going to be hectic trying to get all the information on time.

Besides, I would view it as a pleasant surprise.

I REALLY want Whirlwind, she looks amazing

Yeah don't trust their online store cause it is definitely not accurate. to what is available at the retail stores.

Whirlwind is actually a pretty boring character. But I got her just to make sure I didn't miss out while she was available. I plan to have all skylanders and to get the 3DS just for the sake of having darkspyro and being able to play the game with different skills and levels.

I have Whirlwind. She's one of my favorites, I love her gameplay and design (and voice acting).
She's pretty good when upgraded as well.

I just like the puking/spamming rainbows. She's pretty easy to play and she can get the targets that are high up.

I have leveld Whirlwind twice; first time Rainbows and second time clouds. Comparative to some of the other fully leveled Skylanders such as Trigger Happy, Spyro, or Stealth Elf, she is pretty mediocre at best and even then requires quite a bit of tactics and time in battle to do well. I am not saying she isn't cool or fun, just that she is OK at clearing levels.

Comparatively damage, aim, size of damage:
Long Range is poor (Trigger Happy Great)
Medium Range is Good (Spyro and Sonic Boom Great)
Short Range is bad (Erupter and Stealth Elf Great)

^I'm starting to see what you mean, she was great at the earlier levels, but she takes a lot of damage later on in the Undead Levels where the enemies are small and fast. Her soul gem also make her better as a support character in co-op.

I like her rainbow of doom. It's pretty epic.
