OK, so i have finished the game a while ago but i still dont understand the ending.
Are spyro and cynder dead or what?!?!?! one minute spyro is saying something to the affect of having to sacrifice his life to save the world, then the next minute spyro and cynder are flying together in the meadow place. WHAT HAPPENED?!??!?!?!

well,
either they are dead and they were flying in heaven, or they lived and were in the meadow.
i just dont know which one it is

It showed them in the Valley of Avalar flying without the green chain, so I suppose they lived.

Different people have different theories.

Me? I think they lived. You can clearly see they're in the Valley of Avalar, as you can see the Cheetah Village in the background. The camera is about at the spot where they fight the elite enemy in that chapter.

i thought that spyro had to destroy himself to heal the destruction to their world? in that case, how would he have survived? and if they died, why would they show them happily flying around in the valley lively? i know i ask alot of questions but i really cant come up with a conclusion myself because to me there isnt enough evidence to either of the two conclusions given to prove either one true.

I'd say their survival had something to do with, say, Cynder blastin' them outta there, as the world was closing in. Or maybe those spirit dragons.

They travelled quite far away from Sparx. Maybe they didn't meet up with him yet. And even if they did, he shouldn't be there for the ROMANTIC FLYING RANDOM SCENE! smilie

I don't think Sparx would have wanted to see what was about to happen in the Valley of Avalar.

The developers made the scene as to cause us to have to come up with our own conclusions. There are several different possibilities. 1. They're dead. 2. They're alive.
As many others think, I don't believe they are dead, but I don't believe they are alive either. I believe that they are somewhere in-between life and death. But still, there are many more possibilities.

well, considering they are only teenaged, i would suspect that they would do things that are more romantic and cute, rather than innapropriate and impure. no im not a strictly religious person. but i dont think that would be what they are up to. i grew up with the spyro games and from the age of 4 up to now im 14 i have been playing the games and because of that i cant picture spyro being so vulgar and sick like that.

In my opinion, according to Spyro's bland personality in LoS, I doubt he would do anything suprizing like that, and if it were the original Spyro, he wouldn't want to even get involved with a relationship, he hated the idea of falling in love, so I don't think either would do that.

Lol, suprizing.

That would be pretty terrible, but if cynder was that openly judgemental i think we would have seen a whole lot more of conflict between spyro and cynder in the game. plus, she's WAY out of his league. she's been through hell and back and toughed it out. but what was up in the burned lands when spyro went all dark and evil, what caused that?!

Wait...sex is impure?

Sooooo....in order for humanity (or any race) to be pure, they must never have sex, meaning they can never reproduce, meaning in order to be pure, we must let ourselves die out and become extinct?

..............Bit late for purity now, don'tcha think?

There's a third option (and this is the one I always thought):

They aren't dead but they aren't alive, either. In saving the world, Spyro did technically die, but he wound up in the same sort of place between life and death that the Chronicler inhabits. His new role is as the heart of the world and he and Cynder will be innocent and happy as the world's guardians until this one comes to an end.

Or they both lived but things weren't quite as they seemed. smilie

I say they lived, as they weren't found in the book of death or whatever.

and thats the thing though. he wasnt found in the book and neither was cynder, but he killed himself and cynder to make the world one again, but were happily flying around full of life... i cant figure it out.

They aren't humans they are animals, animals don't have laws like we do. So any age for them is fine to mate.

well first off: Ignitus asked were spyro was, after the chronicler said it records after a dragon dies. So spyro is alive, and they are alone, mostly because they were teleported or Spyro dug them out with his earth element. Second I think they are mature enough not to do anything, they would most likly wait for the right time, their planet could still be in a bit of caos.

And there is the most reasonable answer.
