Small 3DS article in August Nintendo Power [CLOSED]

I got the August NP today, thought I'd share :3
Before anyone asks: this article is only a quarter of a page, so there is no more in the issue.
(this was taken by a digital camera because I have no scanner)

It pretty much just restates Kotaku's recent 3DS video, with two small screenshots.
I'm a little surprised how little is being shown of the 3DS version vs the console versions when the release date is in two months, but at least footage is starting to come out.

Aww... Seems like Dark Spyro, at least, is a 3DS exclusive. Ah well. Does anyone happen to have the Wii article?

^ Dark Spyro has been confirmed to be an 3DS exclusive for a while now, Razz. Though he is playable on othergame systems of Skylanders.

There was a sentence in the Kotaku review that implied they wouldn't be doing exclusives like this. Granted, it's not going to be hard to make your own Dark Spyro since he's literally just a repaint. smilie

Yeah, isn't he playable on the other systems too, you just put him on the Portal of Power of your PS3/360/Wii?

They used the term "short packed," which just means that certain characters get packed more or less than others in a factory-sealed case. So what they said was that there should be an equal number of each character in each shipment, not "every character will also be available as a single pack." They followed up by saying that figures wouldn't have rarities (because of no short-packing), which could imply Dark Spyro wouldn't be rarer than the others, but I think they were only talking about the figures that are sold separately.

I think they made Dark Spyro as an exclusive as an incentive to buy the 3DS version, like saying "now that we have your attention, this version of the game is different, try this too!" But they haven't said anything about what makes him different, so it could just be something minor like aesthetics.
