I noticed in the Darklight Crypt that you can switch between the Real World and the Ghost World in order to get past certain objects and enemies. This is a possible reference to Spyro: Shadow Legacy when you have to switch between the real realm and the Shadow Realm to see and get past certain objects.

Also, stealth elf has hooves, which could be a reference to Elora. (Why else would she have hooves?) Then there's Persephone the fairy, reference to Zoe probably. --- "Was it a hot ghost?"

I'm sorry, Aura, also, I noticed in the gba version of The Enternal Night, Dark Spyro is more of a dark purple and has grey horns and wings. Dark Spyro from Skylanders has this same color scheme.

Someone's probably mentioned it here already, but Flynn the Baloonist is directly named after one of the baloonists that transports you between home worlds in the original Spyro the Dragon. Flynn's design and colour scheme is based on that of the baloonist in the first home world in Spyro the Dragon, the Artisan's home, although this baloonist wasn't the one named Flynn.
