^ yes. I agree with this. Im not spending over 300 bucks on some toys i probably wont use... only the most important :3

And im too lazy to bother reading all the posts in this topic. So incase this isnt already in here, the game will be on all platforms, not just wii and 3ds. No, no more ps2 or ps1.

Me to, i'm not into the odder looking creatures like the tree or lava guy. Though I might have to try out the shark so I can pretend i'm playing Ripster from Street Sharks. smilie

Just Spyro, Gill, Stealth, Ignitor, Dragons, Gryphons, Unicorns, and any old characters.

Wonder who will voice Spyro in cutscenes...?

Dunno...

Y'know, that whole calibre of VAs comment, makes me think that those who say there will be little story are wrong. The reason: It's not accurate to say that the VAs will be good if they don't talk enough for you to get a good idea of the sound of thier voice so there must be a good deal of dialouge. If they talk a fair bit, there must be somthing to talk about, and if there's something to talk about, it's gonna be about the story. So chances are the game will have a full story, acted out by ALL 30+characters and maybe some NPCs. BUT you just won't be able to play as the characters until you buy the toy.

Get what I'm saying?

How wrong you are....

Many games I know have little story, but lots of voice acting.

Sonic Colours is a prime example. It too had "hyped voice actors" and highly revered writers, yet the game has hardly any story (at least for the Wii version. I hear the DS version has a deeper story). Most of the voice acting is just jokes and random banter between Sonic and Tails, as well the PA annoncements Eggman makes during gameplay.

The first LittleBIGPlanet had lots of voice acting and little story....the voice acting was just Stephen Fry narrating for tutorials!

In fact, as soon as I saw the plot for Skylanders, I got the vibe that there would be a narrator and not many characters talking.

Personally, I would prefer this. Looking at the character designs(including Spyro), I fear they will get annoying voices for the characters.

I personally think Spyro shouldn't be mute... Hehe, Stephen Fry should play Spyro and Alan Davies should be every other character smilie

If Spyro isn't mute, then he should talk similar to Sonic the Werehog. It's the only fitting voice I can think of that would be tolerable.

If they got Stephen Fry narrating this or something, they would be legends!smilie

Whoa, wait a minute! Look to Trigger Happy's left. You'll see two white things on the wall. Look at the highest one. Now look to the right of that, just next to it. Am I insane or does that look a little like Terrador's head?

Just look next to that high white thing on the wall to the left of and behind Trigger Happy. What I'm reffering to is mostly next to, but a little behind that.

I don't see any white thing. XD

still not convinced of what?

I know the author wasn't really specific about things. He's definitely a father that writes from his inner-child perspective.

I was just pointing out that it'll be impossible to play the game 100% with just one character.

I like how you guys completely ignored the rest of his post. The guy's got two little kids who are right in the age demographic the game is aiming for; of course he watches the Disney channel! When you're old enough to babysit, you'll find yourself watching it, too, whether you like it or not. Again, this just proves that Activision not only knows it's target audience but is succeeding in appealing to it already.

First, I read the whole article.
Second, he said he genuinely liked Disney Channel(which is fine, BTW).
Thirdly, I have babysitted many times and have never had to submit myself to watching an awful show.
Fourthly, saying "of course he watches Disney Channel" makes no sense. My sister watches it, but do my parents? Nope....
And finally, that post from me was kind of meant to be taken humoursly. You and Aura didn't...

No, it's not a big deal at all....

What I meant was, I, and many other people, don't like Disney Channel. This guy does, AND he liked the Skylanders story. So I did the math...

I wasn't making fun of him, I'm just saying it does genuinely raise my concern for the storyline. But then again, I shouldn't bother, as the gameplay hasn't impressed me so far.

I'm not too concerned just yet. It depends on what he watches on the Disney Channel..... Whenever I visit DLRP, I watch Disney Channel, just for the re-runs of shows like Aladdin, Lilo & Stitch, Timon & Pumbaa, etc.

Like I said, I think it's great that he watches with his kids. He probably has an idea what kids want more than many.

Seems so serious.. :/

And ehh, oh, okay. Nothing big. I don't feel so interested in Spyro lately, which makes me upet, because I've always been interested with Spyro (obsessed?) And right now I'm feeling less interested than I ever have, with the exception of a few years ago, I guess, when I forgot Spyro existed.
But I'm still highly interested with TLoS and love those games, too bad they're left in the dust. :/ But that doesn't stop me from not forgetting them! smilie I guess the only thing I'm not interested in is this new game.. Just doesn't seem my type of game.
