Personally, I'd rather not have another game if it comes to this awful character design.

All this hating on the new Spyro talk will die down when some of the fans grow use to it anyways. We haven't even played the game to judge it..

I find his fugly new face quite endearing. Think of all the Mary Sues we'll never have to read fanfics about because of that glorious ugly mug!

But, really, I'm sick to death of perfect, cutesy dragons. These guys were horrible ugly beasts in mythology and it's fun to see that coming back. I'm also a fan of interesting character designs and this is nothing if not very interesting. So, yeah, I'm all for goblin Spyro.

I'm with her on this, Goblin Spyro is a-ok by my standards.

I was wondering the same thing also.

And then it hit me, His horns, that devilishly mischievous smirk, they're basing their version of Spyro directly from the concept art! (or at least that's what I think)

I think it's the horns.
They're curved differently than ISpyro's and LSpyro's.

Hey, I think you've got something there, Sheeps. I could tell right off the bat that they were using Insomniac Spyro for inspiration (horns, facial proportions to some degree, expression and stance). That's part of what endears this little goblin to me. He looks like he'd be a spunky kind of guy with looks like that, which is fun to imagine.

Also the character designer also designed the characters from Shrek, Tom Hester.

Spinning in it's grave (finally) probably. Don't worry, like the Classic fans before you, your nostalgia can live forever. There's always fanfics, more fanart than you can shake a stick at, and tons of screen shots and art. It's more than the Classic fans ever got.

I like it. I'm excited for the game AND toys and I think the little troll-faced Spyro is pretty precious. This looks like it'll be the closest thing to my dream next gen Spyro (especially with the promise of merchandise). The fandom needs to quit being a bunch of tittybabies and just be happy for once.

(Besides. The less "epic" and serious LOS style the better)

I'm almost 30 and those toys are what I've wanted since Spyro came out when I was in high school. I have a herd of My Little Ponies under my desk (partly my husband's fault ), so I have no problem with having a goblin Spyro in the house. Even less problem with a potential Elora.
