Spyro's Kingdom Plot [CLOSED]
NEW_SpyroLUVA Emerald Sparx Gems: 3308
#101 Posted: 16:12:43 22/01/2011
Spyro's Kingdom may not be a government or country he rules. It could reffer to his elemental powers (if it's LOS) and how he comes to be a better master over them. It could be that when he reassembled the world the planet started to be controlled by Spyro's mind/emotions, so he needs to learn how to controll the world better. If that's the case then the world itself or nature would be Spyro's metaphorical kingdom.

DarkCynder also had a good point about it.

As for the universe it's in and the stoary, if it's fun and doesn't give me rage due to stupidity of plot I'll be happy with it.

Given its called, "spyros kindom" it might end up being a conquest game. But who are they conquering?

If it's in TLoS Universe:
It could refer to the world being considered Spyro's Kingdom, since he's restored it and saved it.
It could refer to him ruling a Kingdom..

here's an idea.. Didn't bother to go through the pages to see if anyone else came up with a similar idea, but here it is:

It could refer to where Spyro was really from. Maybe he was born in this Kingdom which is currently unknown to him, and his parents brought his egg to be protected to the temple. Maybe he travels to this Kingdom and discovers his real parents, or where he would have lived if he wasn't a hero, and somehow danger strikes? Just a thought.

Thanks, glad you like it. I got the idea kinda from a picture on dA. But I think it'd be interesting, AND it'd introduce other dragons. Doubt it'd happen though smilie

I like Darby's idea...it's less crazy than my ideas!smilie

Also, quick question...if I make a Spyro game in LBP2, would you rather I base it off of an existing game, or make an unofficial sequel to DotD?

And hmm.. I'm not sure! I know there's so many identical fan sequels to DotD, but I'm sure you could pull it off and make it unique and really cool! What games did you have in mind for basing it off of?

I was thinking on basing it off of DotD, but then I thought....

"What if FOUR people play the level together....or even just three?"

My ideas for Spyro games are scattered around the forum, really.....telling you would be like writing an essay!smilie

I was gonna add Ember and Flame, but make their moves similar to Cynder and Spyro respectively. But that would complicate things if it were based off of DotD.

Sooo....I had ideas for a plotline that follows DotD, but isn't what you would expect from LoS....

#111 Posted: 00:35:45 29/01/2011
Yeah, that would make it a little complicated. Ember and Flame would just have two elements.. Spyro and Cynder four..

Hey, do others actually get to play your game?

And I'd love to hear the plotline you got! I'm always careful about posting it online before I actually consider starting a fanfiction or anything though, just because I want it to stay original! smilie I've made one, I might turn it into a fanart/fanfiction ongoing thing on dA..
sonicbrawler182 Platinum Sparx Gems: 6487
#112 Posted: 00:43:13 29/01/2011
Not even that....where would they fit in to the story, seeing as DotD begins with SPYRO and CYNDER in the crystal?

Yes, others can play it. If I upload it, anyone can play it, but I can also "lock" it so that only people with a key can play it. If I don't upload it, people can only play it if they are guests in my Pod and I show them the game....of course, I will upload it, and make a YouTube video of it!smilie

Well, the plotline for my LBP2 game is going to have a bit of a similar feel to the actual LBP2 storyline, mixed with serious TLoS stuff. However, I had ideas for a more serious fanfiction type thing too.

Right now, I'm programming my Spyro Sackbot (started again). I have the Flying/Gliding Logic done.

Oi, that too! I guess that would be tough to work out. You could introduce them later into the game, but that sounds like it'd be a little too complicated.

that's really cool! LBP sounds like a pretty fun game! I'd never been too interested, but I might be gaining more interest. You and your persuasive ways... (SONIC?) smilie

Sounds like it would be cool to see/play though! Do you think you'll take the time to finish it eventually?

I could introduce them later, but that would still leave the problem of two players being left out.

Well, I didn't necessarily persuade you...I posted a video while talking to NEW_SpyroLUVA, you watched it, then....the PMs started!smilie

Considering I have spent over 6 months on individual LBP1 levels.....I think I will!smilie

What happened was that the Scorcerror planted fake prophecies somewhere and hid them, the ones of the purple dragon.

He captured all the purple dragons(including Classic Spyro) and set up a war. Eventually the fact there were purple dragons was forgotten and he was sent into exile.
So far: The Scorcerror is Fake Malefor, who appeared in DoTD, and was only used as a pawn. When Spyro put the world back together, the real Malefor, hiding somewhere, took some of the power he exerted, and that's why the world is still like the Floating Islands.

I'm still working on it and need to check for plotholes, but hopefully you get the idea. It was inspired by the 'shadow' Spyro artwork... :3

But, why steal the dragons, why make the prophecies, why make the war? I'm sure these will be answered in time, yes? Are you going to make a fanfiction, fan animation, or just post the idea here?

I'm not really sure, I might make a fan fiction, I'll probably post the rest here, but I mos likely won't have time to animate it(unless it's in 2-D).

It could also work backwards if TLoS really is a prequel and The Scorcerror could be the real Malefor. It's just an outline, really.

That is a great idea, but remeber, each game has to start is a way that even non Spyro fans can get what's going on. The idea would only make sence to all who have played most of the games before. The new players would need lots of cutscenes to fill in all the holes, the game ends up boring them after the first couple minutes. Trust me, to many cutscenes and little play makes game a dull game. I like the idea a lot, I hope it turns out that good or better.

That was Ignitus referring to himself. He came back as the new Chronicler. (Which actually becomes a major point of the plot- and not just in prophecies...) Perhaps Fake-Felor's soul will come back. I'll just see how this goes.
