New Spyro game? [CLOSED]

You would also have to help your tribe fend off attackers, either humans, other dragons or different creatures altogether. That would be an awesome idea! I would have a blast playing that!

Me too! *Sigh* I just don't think it'dd happen though, unless and indy gaming company did it. There just isn't enough demand in the genral gaming public for a game where you life the life of a dragon. Still, sweet idea though.
Oh, and did I forget to say you could take a mate and have hatchlings too?

The companies nowadays have no imagination, all they're doing is making cheap remakes, milking dead franchises, and neglecting potentially GREAT games. Around this time we are in desperate need of a new developer

@NEW_SpyroLUVA: That idea you had is a good one....only problem is, it's too similar to Fable. It's basically Fable with dragons rather than humans. And it wouldn't be great with Spyro, IMO.

Also, it's a-OK for a randomly generated dragon character to mate, yet Spyro and Cynder can't?smilie

It's just that I don't think romance is quite right for Spyro. A suggested crush, like How Spyro got jittery near Elora atthe end of YotD.

Well, they've established Spyro x Cynder, so I don't see a problem continuing it. I'd rather they would....I mean, you don't build up a relationship up over three games and then just throw it away....that's a middle finger to both the fans and haters!

So yeah, I think Spyro x Cynder would be fine for development.

....And how come alcoholic, potty-mouthed, pervy squirrels can have girlfriends and noble purple dragons can't!?smilie

That would be fun to play.

Also, they could go with a Halo: Reach-like ending.
You fight until you are slain in a cutscene. In Halo:Reach's last level, "Lone Wolf", you have one objective...

The final objective is "Survive" but in reality its "die". Bad guys keep generating until you are killed, then a cutscene triggers where you fight off a bunch of elites, get shot, then an elite picks you up and throws you on the ground. Five elites gain up on you and take turns running you through with energy swords, so was the fate of Noble Six.

I don't think it'll be' another reboot. For randomly Spyro gamers it would be too confusing...

I don't think it'll be' another reboot. For randomly Spyro gamers it would be too confusing...

Activision wouldn't care though, just as long as they get their money out of it. The Spyro fandom is only a small part of their financial source.

You could be right SB but I agree DArby, I too thought of the Mars and Moon Landers, and thus thought of Space. Here's a thought: Why would Spyro and co go into space? If ALL the hatchlings were killed (though I doubt it) they'd need to find more dragons to be able to keep living. So, what if they found an old message in a communications crystal, that either fell from the sky or that was left by the ancestors before a mass exodus to another planted was uncovered when the earth broke up? Once they find that there are other dragons elsewhere in the galaxy/universe, perhaps they see fit to leave and join the other dragon species where they live??
