Velvet Octopus, who is dealing with the devlopment of the Spyro movie has dropped the first bits of information on the game:

This information has to come to us from a small sideshow that discusses A New Beginning and Eternal Night as well as Spyro's gross profit over the years and his past games.

I would say they will definitely port it to the PS2 and Wii. Maybe they are saying that there will be a PS3 and xbox360 versions of the game.

Wow, now that's what I call interesting stuff. They even mention that they're not planning on stopping making Spyro games any time soon.

Yeah, I think EternalSpyro is right about the game coming out for other systems as well. The " First appearance on PlayStation 3 and Xbox360 " part could easily mean that this is the first time that a LoS game gets release for the PS3 and Xbox360.

This wouldn't be the first time for a LoS game to come out on the Wii, PS2, and other systems, so maybe that's why the other systems weren't mentioned.

I've been speculating that they'd add a flying feature for some time and here it is. But it'll probably have some pain-in-the-ass limitation/s attached.

PS3? Why? If it becomes a PS2 game, then surely you can play it on both consoles! Oh, well. As said, they're probably not the only versions.

YESSS, co-operative mode! The Simpsons Game was great, especially in co-op mode, so that ought to be good.

Well, if it does come out on PS3 instead of PS2 then I just hope it comes out on Wii too.

Oh, what is it with you people and how you hate the PS3 and love that poor excuse for a seventh generation console, the Wii? If they had this game on PS2, they probably wouldn't be able to have it be as amazing as it would be on PS3 and Xbox 360.

I agree with you, Michael! PS3 is my favourite console (and the Wii is my less favourite)!

And I still believe this game is gonna have PS2, DS and wii versions... (you can relax, PS3 haters)
It was said 'First appearance on PlayStation 3 and Xbox
360', so the game can have other versions, too.

Probably still will have a sixth generation console release, which I just see as a sign of developers seeing the series as a cash cow. Hmm.. nice to see that Xbox 360 owners get this game, as Spyro fans who only have the Xbox 360 had no chance to play TEN due to it not appearing on any Microsoft console. I always wonder why it didn't make an Xbox version.

It clearly says it will have its first appearance on the PS3 and 360. It doesn't apply that it would only be on them two, just applies that there will be PS3 a xbox360 versions of the game

Yes, if you want to kill Spyro. One of the major canon facts is that Spyro can't/sucks at flying. Flying stages? Yes. Flying anytime? RIP Spyro.

I soooo hope that this is a fake... and it's most likely a fake since it's not from Krome/Sierra but from the movie producers.
