My Music Keeps Messing Up In This Game! [CLOSED]

I've been playing this game for a little bit, and for a while it was functioning normally. Then, one day, the music for one level started skipping, freezing at certain parts, and at times repeating the music all over again. I ignored it for a while, but then it started doing it in other levels of the game. Now, almost all (if not all) of the music kind of keeps glitching up. I assume it's just ware and tare of the disc (since I assume it's about 11 years old), but my friend says that the reason behind this mishap might be because I "glitch the game" too much on it. What do you think? Is it just ware and tare? Is it because I "glitch the game" too much? Or is it something else entirely?

Ware and tare. Mine does it too. Only on my PS1 though. On my PS2 the music is fine.

Okay, now that you guys helped me resolve that problem, do any of you know how to fix this problem? What I mean is, is there a place where I can still get a PS1 disc cleaned?

Hmmm........ Well.... My BF Abby flushes it in a toilet.... I don't though... (If you wanna try this.... Find a toilet with a small hole.... just in case)... What I do is I take the disc out, with a soft cloth, brush off the dust and hair, then wet a corner of the cloth and clean the disc, then dry it gently with the rest of the cloth, OR let it sit out, in an unacessible place to dry. I don't know any places where you can get discs cleaned..... But, GameStop or a any game store may beable to help!

Mine does that but only because it's old and worn. Even on my PS3 the audio skips every now and again.

I don't play any PS1 or PS2 games on my PS3, they can work on there, but they lag most of the time.
