The thing about YouTube Spyro YouTubers are that they're not very high on Spyro-knowledge. Dazzy's only just found out about the mooning thing in Frozen Altars. No offence, though, guys.

I would make Spyro videos...

If I could. But that program that lets you play games on your laptop takes up too much RAM in my computer. ;~;

I had to delete my games because they took up too much space....... damnit....

BUT once the main computer (not mine thank GOD) has been fiddled around with, opened up and operated on, I'll be able to download videos from the video camera to the main computer, where it will go on my USB stick and on to my laptop! So I shall be able to make videos soon!

Not sure - Windows Moviw Maker doesn't have that feature but I want to buy a movie making program to put on my laptop anyways. By the time the computer's been operating on, I should have it (it will take a while).

Windows Movie Maker does have that feature. Take Dazzy, who makes his on Windows Movie Maker.

The best movie-making program out there is iMovie... but as the name sugests, Mac-only! >.<

But yeah, you have a point. Most Spyro Youtubers I've seen do either one of the following -

* Slideshows with music from the game in the background, sometimes relating to the game and sometimes not
* Recordings of them playing the game for the purpose of doing something entertaining
* Doing "music requests" by putting the original music to a still and putting it up as a video (why do people do this?)

I just kind of wish people did a bit more with that sort of thing, though it's neat to see people do certain bits of stuff when I get the chance to see them.

Now that they brought up the videos, I might as well bring up one of my music vids. No, there's no licenced pop music crap or anything - I did the music myself.

a. Is huge.
b. Blocks some or most of the screen.
c. Doesn't scroll like I've seen in some narrations.

You're talking about putting text or subtitles in the film itself...

I HATE Windows Movie Maker. But I know that if you have a microphone, you can record a narration. >.>

I don't think I'll do a narration. I'll just have the background music tuned down if there's a part where I want the game speech to come through. Or knock the music off altogether - I've noticed that it's pretty effective sometimes.

I am a big fan of dazzy's videos and rexy, i am a big fan of dragon rhapsody! i would make some video's to. if my sister didn't have her account and had to have hers on all the time.

You could always share the computer, create your own Youtube account, log her off, log on, do what you want to do and log off when YOU'RE done. Experiences with a younger brother have left me to tackle it that way. And don't be afraid to persuade your parents for YT priviledges either; I'm sure they will support you.

though i have an account, i can't make any videos for 2 reasons:
1. my mum said i can't make any for it.
2. i don't know how to upload things from windows movie maker to it.

1.) How is she to know if you upload vidoes? If she checks your current one to make sure, then create a new account that she doesn't know about.
2.) You have to go to 'Save Movie File' and save your file to the computer as another type of file (wma - windows media audio file? something like that anyways). Then you can upload it to youtube.

Someday, someday, I have set myself the goal of making a Spyro video with the most inappropriate song for the series I can find. My current candidate is "The Vengeful Spartan" from God of War, but if anyone can suggest some short-ish songs that just don't go with the Spyro series, I'd love to hear them.

Any song by Linkin Park. As much as I dug them in their heyday, their style of lyrics in their songs soon became too over-used by the teenage crowd and placed in completely the wrong video context. I don't care if it has guitars and an industrial beat - emo-based lyrics don't work against fighting montages.

the only song i like from linkin park is "in the end". i've heard it in two legend of spyro a new beggining music videos on youtube. so that could be one.

Yes, I've seen a couple of Linkin Park Spyro vids. They're unintentionally hilarious (and kind of hard to watch). Hmmm...I could use "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down. >D

"Pump It" by the Black Eyed Peas is another suggestion. Ugh, I had a bad vision of watching someone fight Cynder with that music in the background

yeah i've seen a music video with that music. someone who was called tailzkip10000 (nickname) did a 2 part music video of the legend of spyro with part 1 all star by smash mounth, in the end by linkin park, on part 2 she had pump it by black eyed peas and kids in america by sung by no secrets. cool music video. but apart from kids in america and all star it was not the best music video in the world.

Kids in America was just as cheesy especially since I'm more fond of the original song from Kim Wilde, but I see what you mean. Just by the use of Linkin Park and the Black Eyed Peas, it's a showcase on how NOT to approach a music vid.

Now that we're mentioning it...

My brother came into my room when I was processing another video recording. I criticised myself for not keeping a close eye on it, but that wasn't the major problem - he didn't want me to close down because I "do weird stuff anyway"; this automatically makes him think anyone who takes a webcam, records themselves playing a "corny" videogame and puts it up on the Internet is automatically declared a "whacko".

Thoughts on this, anyone?

Well, it does seem like that if your brother stole your video, "Rexy", then it's considered to be plagerizing. And there is a lot of "wackos" like you've said (not to critisize anyone in particular out there, by the way) out there who'll do anything to just be noticed by the people of the world. That's where about 70% (this is not a real estimate, and is just my hypothesis regarding this issue) of Youtube videos come from: randomness, and frequent things that make no sense whatsoever.

Side Note: And yeah, the videos regarding Spyro on Youtube are kind of iffy (like you've said before), in my opinion. That's why I have a hard time finding videos on there relating to Spyro that I actually like. The only videos that I mainly really like to view regarding Spyro are glitch-related videos. And even some of those can get somewhat annoying. Half the time I watch them I'm thinking, "...Okay...this is really random. Can we just get to the part with the glitch in it already?" Oh, and not to critisize Reddevildazzy or another Youtube users out there, but I kind of get annoyed seeing people do videos about the same thing over and over again. It gets really annoying after a while seeing a video about something most of the Spyro glitch community already knows.
