Wow this game sure is fun!

Personally I don't get why so many people compare it to Spyro & Johnbonne: 358 Over 2 Days so often. I mean, the TLoS series isn't officially sanctioned Spyro canon unlike S&JB is, for one thing. But even then, where's the talent tree from S&JB:358/2D? Where's the collaborative writing between Clive Barker and Lemmy Kilmister? Where's the excessive violence, gore and nudity?

If you want to draw comparisons between the TLoS series and Spyro & Johnbonne, the only valid comparison is the side-prequel to the pre-sequel of the sidequel Spyro x Johnbonne-san! Battle Dragon Yaoi Princess GO! However, it is only available in Welsh. In addition to this, it's incredibly rare because only 3 copies were made, of which 4 were destroyed in a freak garlic factory accident.

I suppose on its own though TLoS:YotD is an OK game. Sorry for going off topic a bit there, I just know people calling themselves "true" fans will say compare it to 358 Over 2 Days, when they haven't even heard of Castle Mauvewyrm: The Seventh Chapter in the Seventh Saga of Spyro & Johnbonne.

To conclude, it's OK. It's not Spyro & Johnbonne: 4 Keys Over 9 By 12 Quarts, but it's a welcome addition to the Spyro IP nonetheless, even if it isn't canon.
