I was looking at old profiles out of curiosity/nostalgia, and it seems like it doesn't work for profiles that haven't logged in, and/or have 0 gems.
Several of the oldest accounts have no activity dates, but have some gems and locked guestbooks. Someone in the linked threads claimed that was because of some sort of wipe, so that doesn't seem inconsistent with what I've been seeing.
The first 0 gem user, dragon allen (the one and only), does have a locked guestbook, but everything afterwards I've seen has guestbooks unlocked.

It's a very tiny issue, so I'm not desperately begging for a fix (the amount of examples was mostly from finding it funny to look at old usernames). Bringing this up mostly because I thought it was kinda interesting.
