I remember waking up several times last night but I couldn't move my arms or anything, I dont think it was a dream but it was really scary.
It felt like I was awake, but had no control over my muscles

Anyone know what might've happened?

I twitch in my sleep sometimes. On rare occasions, I will also mumble to myself.

Yeah that's sleep paralysis.

I have it sometimes and hallucinate horrible things.

I remember this one time when I couldn't move at all for like an hour but was still fully awake. I vaguely recall being asleep for like 5-15 minutes before. Dunno if that was sleep paralysis, no weird hallucinations but it did creep me out.

I get sleep paralysis sometimes in the morning. It's freaky and triply. I'm like half asleep when it happens, so sometimes it gets incorporated into my dreams. Usually my sleep paralysis dreams will have to do with me feeling trapped or whatnot. I just know I get really frustrated for the duration of my sleep paralysis.

I think it'd be interesting to see a recording of when that happens. Are my eyes open or is what I'm seeing a dream?

That's sleep paralysis, it's more common than you think. It happens to me at least once or twice a week. If it happens enough, sometimes you wake up and are pretty much like "well here we are again". Eventually it goes away. It can be pretty scary if it's never happened before. Only twice have I ever actually "seen" something, which was a dark, shadowy figure with red eyes standing above me. That was before I knew what sleep paralysis was, so it really freaked me out.
