I like hunter's voice, sounds closer to AHT's hunter, which I think is good, makes him slightly less dorky in the everyday interactions.

This is definitely a nitpick, but I'm not too fond of the amount of snow in sunrise spring, it just kinda feels off to me.

I didn't even notice the snow until you pointed it out. I agree that it feels off, but at least it's only on the cliffs and not scattered around the whole area.

The term gets thrown around but "daddy" is an appropriate adjective.

But yeah, if true, the 4chan dev was not kidding, Spyro 3 is far from done. The loading times are actually atrocious, you should not have to wait a minute to respawn. Looks good, but that optimization would've been rough launching next month.

Gonna be honest I've loved most everything so far but I'm not really feeling the baby dragons (literally and figuratively)

Gregg Berger not voicing Hunter is really weird? I guess just hearing new voices is jarring like the lions, they sound off from their original accent

I love Sheila's design tho <3

Haven’t seen that gameplay, but that problem was already evident in the older Tree Tops demo.
I’m crossing my fingers this is only a problem of the demos themselves, for whatever reason, because otherwise such long loading times are unacceptable compared to the 90’s ones.

This is what they should aim for for the whole trilogy:



Grizzle, Gregg Berger is back both for Hunter and Ripto, keep in mind 20 years can make a big difference in how a voice actor performs the same role.

I haven't played Year of the Dragon but 'Sunrise Spring' just sounds like a nice way of introducing the time-of-the-day-homeworld-theme while referencing the lack of a Spring homeworld in Spyro 2. Or maybe it was a happy accident! smilie

My favourite little touch that they've added is when you bail out on the skateboard, the camera suddenly stops until you get back on your feet. It makes it feel like you're watching one of those bail out compilations from the Tony Hawk games and stuff.

I could go without the motion blur, but honestly it doesn’t bother me nearly as much as I qould have feared.

Regarding the HUD, the Glimmer clip of PEZ’s gameplay shows a Spyro the Dragon colored gem counter instead of the light blue one usually associated with the second game:

The motion blur is mostly likely due to it being on consoles, like N. Sane had. They'll probably give you an option to disable it on the PC version.

My only complaints really are that Sheila and the skateboarding look really janky at points.

I generally don't notice the motion blur while in-game, but I feel like unless we have a photo mode it's going to ruin a lot of screenshots.

My guess is Gregg was supposed to do Hunter, but he just couldn't do the voice anymore (He's like 64 now), so they got Robbie to voice the good ol' Cheetah.

YES! It would be so weird to go from Spyro 3's range of playable characters to just Spyro in the potential Spyro 4: Take Two, so switching up who the extra characters are could keep it fresh. Sort of like how A Hero's Tail actually did it.

Things I was not expecting:

No new outfit other than the belt+frills
Only half of her face being tan
Being way more animalistic in movement
Looking pretty much like Tessa

Listening to it again, Elora's voice direction is a lot more playful for this one (as are her animations but that's because they have the technology now). She used sound quite a bit more snobby in the originals.

It's especially evident in how she says her iconic line, it's like a night and day difference between the original and the remake.

I know some people won't be happy with that but I think it makes a lot of sense. Fauns are generally portrayed as more playful creatures in a lot of folklore.

I am very happy with Elora. Her face colour was a little jarring at first, but oh god is she adorable! I love how they've made her look more like a goat and less human-like! Her hair is perfect and so is her outfit!
One thing I'm going to really miss though is her fox tail. ;;

But I have to say I adore how animated this cutscene is and I am so looking forward to seeing the rest in game! Spyro looks so cute and his expressions are fantastic!! He reminds me of Bolt. :'D
(Also Hunter doesn't wear clothes all the time like everyone thought he would lol)

One thing I want to point out, and that a few of us were discussing, is that I'm not a fan of Ripto's flag art at the moment. We're hoping it's just a place holder because I think it's silly to use his concept art in this situation.
