Today you are at your best, seated in a vast conference room that looks out onto the stars themselves. You have become familiar with the sight of space. The cluster station Tetra-Dia has been your home for 10 years, and as a space exploration academy, they have been long and difficult years indeed. You look around the room, scanning around to see those who you have studied with, sparred with, and even flown with. They too, wear black polymer jackets, professionally kept and boldly marked with GAI, trimmed with white and red. It is finally time for you and all those who have made it this far to receive official credentials, and make your own headway across many galaxies.
A representative of the head of Tetra-Dia steps onto the stage, an aged human, clearing his throat. After he speaks, you will be free.
“Space, the blackened void. Planets of life scatter across the cosmos near and far. Most thought that this emptiness bound us to our homes, that traveling beyond our own planet was impossible.” The speaker smirks as he motions to the enormous glass backdrop behind him. “And it was impossible for quite some time. That was, until the Imperium of Dia'Valthius revealed themselves. The pioneers of intergalactic travel who have given advancements in fields of science and life alike. I'm sure you all know of the Imperium's visit to your planets.” A Dia'Valthian pilot appeared next to him, a solid hologram in a strong pose. They seem to be made purely of technology, something you may be able to understand if they taught Dia anatomy, but nonetheless amazing according to records. The speaker continues. “No matter how long ago it was, they have always provided. And that is why we, members of the Galactic Armada of the Imperium, have a duty to give back. You are no longer cadets, but pioneers yourselves, supporting our way of life and searching the far reaches of the universe to spread the gift of the Dia'Valthius. Today, no matter what race or creed, you are the wings of the Imperium. I salute you all, and hope of a save journey for each and every one of you.” The human stands straight and in respect, putting a fist over his chest as the tune for the Imperium anthem plays across the room.
After the salute ends, he swiftly walks off the stage, leaving you among your peers. Yes, it may feel like a lackluster graduation, but the true graduation is braving the void. Every cadet knows that from day one. In just another hour, you will never see this room again, and will be off to serve the Imperium. For now, you wait, reminisce, talk with your classmates. You may even be able to form a crew before they even instate you as an official.

This, as you may have guessed, is a space exploration RP. You may use whatever race you want, as long as you follow the rules;
-No giant creatures
-No god-like creatures or overpowered characters, although different species can have abilities
-This isn't innately about killing so no slaughter. There will be time for that, plus sparring
-Stuff happens in space yes, but no horribly naughty things
-Have an amount of characters that is manageable. Everyone on a crew is needed so characters should be around somewhat often
-If your not on a lot thats ok, just be aware that things may happen. We will keep you up to speed
-DO NOT be afraid to ask me for any information. I will be more than happy to explain anything as long as its something your character would know.

Name: Grufgit "Big Mek"thrakka
Age: 25
Gender: "iz a boy ya git"
Species: Orken are large humanoid beings with green skin, their growth rate is excelerated with adrenaline an orken. Never stops growing however their growth slows slightly around 22, the more an exposes himself to adenaline, the more he grows often becomes an adrenaline addict. the orken speak an altered verson of common, while most orken go into a soldiers life some seem to inately have some kind of knowledge not much but enough to spark their interest, in their society for example "mek boyz" lean towards building. While "mad dokz" science or medicine. Most orken are formitable fighters, and all orken agree "that wez like a good scrap hehehe" those orken that are civilized enough to be in polite company are looked apon with some respect due to their general usefulness and loyalty to anyone they call boss, those uncivilized or "Mad Boyz" are often pirates tribesing tribes. In these tribes money is "teef" (teeth) which the orken constantly lose and regrow. By itself an orken has no abnormal traits, however the more orken the more rowdy they get, egging each other on into brutish clusters of laughing drinking and fighting.
Position: Engineer
Appearance: Large green and brutishly musceled. His work is a hell of a lot prettier than he is. Beaty red eyes and a flat nose give way to large tusk like teeth that are the name sake of his species. Part of his skull is covered in a metal plate from an "accident" and his left arm has been "unfortunately" replaced by his own "Kustum buiildin arm"
Personality: Boisterous, loud, proud, and never one to turn down a scrap, fun and energetic always trying to share something he has built.
Other: like most "mek boyz" his work is often at first glance crude, and primitive, however given time and resources you will be hard pressed to find anything quite as reliable or powerful. Although not always both. His favorite things to build and fix are as most orken. "Tanks, gunz, and thrustaz"

Name: Ithotek
Age: 500
Gender: Male
Species: Necroseer: The Necroseer are an ancient race of bio-mechanical lifeforms that technically do not age. They are built on their home world of Nexus X. They are built by the world itself. When a Necroseer dies its "soul" goes back to the birth world, where a new Necroseer will be built. When a new Necroseer has been built, they are given a test to see where they will fit in within their society. The society of the Necroseer is built upon the caste system, in which all members are born into their own caste. They will remain in this caste for life. However regardless of caste, each newly built Necroseer is trained in military functions. Mainly how to operate their chosen Gauss weapon, when to use their weapon, when it is necessary to operate the planets defense weaponry. Each Necroseer possesses a small utility Gauss weapon, and a medium or Large Combat Gauss weapon. The society is based off of the idea that even a peace faring race could attack at any moment and the Necroseer race as a whole must remain vigilant. The Necroseer race is governed by five Necroseer, these Necroseer are called the "Necrotayr". The Necrotayr are the unquestioned leaders of the Necroseer race, and they have ultimate say where the newly built Necroseer goes within the castes. The planet itself is a giant factory, run by the lowest tier Necroseer of the caste system. The planet is essentially a giant factory in space. Not only does the planet build other Necroseer, it also builds their weapons, spaceships, and many many other things. The Necroseer as a race have many planets at their disposal. Nexus X is one of many machine factory planets. Originally when the Necroseer race was young, they were built by the beings they called the "Librarians". The Librarians were a race of beings that saw themselves above all races, and thus also viewed themselves as gods. Over centuries they enslaved many many worlds and built the Necroseer as their "police" force within the universe. However over time, the Librarians started using the Necroseer for their own amusement as well. Which eventually led to the Necroseer revolting against their creators. This was the first intergalactic war that resulted in the extinction of the Librarian race. Since then, the Necroseer have retained their original purpose by being the "Police" force (loosely). The Necroseer are warlike only because each one of them possesses somewhere on them two Gauss weapons, one small, the other medium or large. The Necroseer race is old in age, but new to the fact of other races just as advanced as them some even more so. Though the Necroseer is living and breathing, they were created with some robotic elements. Their body is comprised of Bio-Organics, meaning they are simultaneously both organic and inorganic. Because of this their body works differently than others. For starters they can get drunk, but it takes a lot to get there. Along with these abilities also comes the ability to repair themselves. They're immortal in the sense that as long as their body can repair itself they can still function. However if they have received to much damage, or their head is destroyed theN they cease to function and must be repaired manually. Because they have just recently become know to the Imperium, and have just recently became part of the Imperium not much is known about them. Even when the other races were enslaved by the Librarians, it was hardly necessary to bring in a swarm of Necroseer.
Occupation: Ithotek is amongst the top of his class in combat specialty. With the combined training from his home world of Nexus X and the Imperium, there is no weapon that he can't learn to use. However he is one of thousands.
Appearance and Attire: The Necroseer as a race, do not wear clothing of any kind as it is simply not needed. The Necroseer people at first glance look like mechanic skeletons with a green energy glowing from within them. Most Necroseer are colored depending on their caste; White and gold along with "clothing" is strictly for the Necrotayr. Black or red is for the warriors and battle hardened (your everyday Necroseer soldiers are black). The scholars are blue with possible "crowns" adorning their heads. your commoners are either orange or purple. While the lowest tier of Necroseer are strictly grey. Because Ithotek is an Enforcer caste, he sports a red "chassis" with black secondary "decal".
Personality: The Necroseer though they are alive, they are almost sociopathic in the sense that they themselves cannot emulate emotions as they themselves do not understand or use them. The common Necroseer including Ithotek seem monotone when they speak, even if they speak out of anger or sadness.
Brief Bio: Ithotek lived most of his life on their main home world of Nexus X, but after they became known to the rest of the Imperium it was necessary to send out chosen Necroseer for diplomatic purposes. Thus his expedition was born. The chosen Necroseer were sent from each home world and sent to different parts of the Imperium to insure there was conformity. This was to also ensure the safety of all those within the Imperium.
Other: While there are Necroseer home worlds throughout the entire universe, they are unable to communicate with one another due to lack of resources, and some have just outright died. Because of this there are Necrotayr on every home world.

#4 Posted: 05:32:34 08/02/2017
Name: Karuna
Age: (actual) 400 (mental) 20
Gender: Female
Species: Spotalope (this dimension version) They are large anthropomorphic beings who are usually recognized by their multiple eyes, and antlers. They are nomadic, normally not thought of as very intelligent due to their tribal like culture and ways. Other than their spots on their fur they tend to paint their bodies with tattoo like designs. Though they are very connected with nature and the things that normally no one can see (honestly doesnt help them being looked down upon). They can communicate telepathically and actually prefer to do so but will not invade your mental space unless you allow the connection. (Also they are oddly bad speakers out loud compared to mentally)
Position: Doctor. As a cadet she excelled greatly in knowledge of medical care. She may have not been able to convey compassion well always but with her telepathy she was able to understand and know exactly what was wrong including the length of time left to the minute. She knew what exactly to use and the amounts to use just by a glance of the subject.
Appearance: These are examples im using of all the types of antlers they have. Sometimes they grow flowers. She has five eyes two on each side and one in the middle. Art by Karbo on DA [User Posted Image]
close example of what she would look like. art by eyekissa on DA
[User Posted Image]
Personality: she is kind and very compassionate but hardly shows it. She strives to save everyone she can, enemy or not she views herself as a doctor first. She is not very good at socially connecting but knows normally what to say in any situation. She is protective over those she deems worthy of her companionship.

The Important Stuff
  • Name: Markus Shrike
  • Age: 59 (Actual) 23 (Mentally)
  • Gender: Gender-less (Acts Male)
  • Species: Lanius
  • -The Lanius are a Metalic/Silicon-Based Lifeform that currently reside in the Kuros Asteroid belt. Lanius are usually light silver in color, but have been seen in cream, grey, and lavender. Their biological composition is unique in that it drains oxygen from the area they occupy as well as not being robotic in any form. Because of this, Lanius are able to survive in anaerobic environments since they do not breath, but they are also slower that a decent amout of races. Lanius survive by eating minerals, and will only eat what is considered 'normal' food out of respect. Due to their biology as well, they can reshape metal into different shapes by partially melding into the metal and reshaping it that way. Although many only use this to repair their ships, some hone this technique to create masterwork items. Finally, the Lanius can change their claw appendages into talon-like hands if needed to hold items such as guns or climb ladders, although it feels very unnatural to many. The Lanius normally reproduce asexually, and while they can have children with other races, most if not all are severely weak or die due to the differences in their parents. Since the Great Awakening, many Lanius are known to stay awake for a day to several weeks before sleeping for just as long.
  • Occupation: Pilot
  • Personality: Markus is very laid back, and shows it. He was almost kicked out of the academy due to a 'lack of motivation,' but as soon as he heard that, he made straight marks to prove he can put his mind to it if push comes to shove.
  • Appearance:
  • [User Posted Image]

  • Other:
  • History
-The Lanius were originally believed to be a myth to many since they were almost exclusively seen around and during wartime. Originally scavengers they lie dormant in hibernation until significant metal deposits woke them, many deposits caused by war itself. When a massive trade went between an abandoned sector of the universe, the Lanius awoke. Though to be an offshoot of the Neoseekers when first discovered, their arrival created panic as they indiscriminately seeked out sources of metal for survival. Luckily the Imperium saw their potential and managed to make a deal with the Lanius. The Lanius were given an asteroid belt to live in. Although very reluctant at first, this opened up a new opportunity for the Lanius. Although they originally thought they were swindled by the Imperium, many realized that this gave them a true home and could still travel the universe. With this knowledge, many set out to find jobs and help build the 'Lanius Empire.'
    Fluff
    Lanius cannot intake ethanol (Liquor).
    Lanius can become poisoned.

Do angeloids count? Like would it be acceptable to have one as a physical ai operated system that is linked to the ship.... It's a mix of two shows(idea wize), Heaven's Lost Property(so ready for a new series or season :3 ) and "Dark Matter" well the part about the android being neurologically linked to the ship and is 1: Able to control it(as far as navigation, of course ordered to do so not just as it pleases) 2: give reports(requested or un-requested depending on severity).... if naw then I got someone else... ^3^
