I'm just so fascinated that this is in a kid's television series. My boyfriend and I get scolded for innocent cuddling because "there are children like 30 feet away playing on a playground and not paying any attention to you whatsoever but if they see two people hugging then it'll totally scar them for life" but **** like ass selfies and twerking are now a normality in children's television shows.

why are people saying this series is cringe?

I've never watched it, but assuming that it's automatically cringy because it's for younger people is dare I say childish.

You know what else is for younger people? Steven Universe. I like Bob the Builder (not the 2015 reboot ew) and Thomas and Friends and I don't care if people think I'm childish for it.

Has everybody forgotten that Animaniacs has been doing this kind of stuff forever? Like, sexual innuendos in kid's shows are not a new thing at all.

And to answer Big Green's question, I should've been more clear in the fact that he was an unlikeable tool in the first episode on purpose so that he can grow and mature. The entire first episode is dedicated to this character growth so I find it a tad bit disingenuous to look at this screen and say "the character is ruined" because at this point in the show, he's not even the same character.

Why do I assume it's at least a little cringy? Well gee, I don't know... Might have something to do with Spyro actually taking a picture of his ass in this series for children. Just might. No one's assuming that the show is cringy just because it's a modern show intended for younger audiences here. It definitely doesn't look as bad as TTG or PPG but it doesn't really look like a masterpiece to me either, sorry.

And no one's calling you childish for liking children's shows so that tidbit is rather irrelevant. Those shows aren't even in the same league as cringy new children's cartoons like Teen Titans Go and the Powerpuff Girls reboot.

There's really no cringe other than these kinds of references. Easily dated, yes, but PPG and TTG wish they were this easy to watch.
Worst I'd say it has are some rushed ends of episodes and Beard Science lives entirely for the joke, but aside from that single episode, characters that act like assholes get their just desserts quick.

Ah, hey, thanks for letting me know about that! I'm glad the show isn't saturated with TTG and PPG levels of cringe. I figured it probably wasn't but that's nice to know anyway. I'll probably check it out pretty soon then.

Nah. I'm a fan of it but Thomas episodes are typically only 4 minutes long. They're shot enough to watch every day while I'm waiting to go to class. Bob the Builder episodes are ten minutes long.
