So imaginations can get to level 60 as long as you buy all the senseis, even without chase variants? That's kind of making me think we might not have more variants, because the level cap is an even number if you get all the normal ones plus in game variants.

Agreed. It'd be great if they stopped at 14 variants (!) so the max Imaginator level is an even 60 without chase/rare variants.

Assuming it is only 15, that's still better than Superchargers having more variants than characters and vehicles.

Actually, I have a theory that the level cap might be 99. Why?
Well, I assume nobody's bought duplicates of the same Sensei, but my theory is that duplicates would also increase the cap.

They don't, I have 2 of Kaos and only the first one upped the level cap. The 2nd one only gave my a 2nd backpack (witch upped the items stats).

Alt Decos (aka Alt Deco "Variants", or just "Variants"): 14 in Giants, 14 in Imaginators.

Giants: 6 Legendaries, Gnarly Tree Rex, Granite Crusher, Jade Flashwing, Molten Hot Dog, Polar Whirlwind, Punch Pop Fizz, Royal Double Trouble, Scarlet Ninjini

Imaginators: 3 Darks, 2 Legendaries, 2 Mystical, Candy-Coated Chopscotch, Egg Bomber Air Strike, Hard Boiler Flare Wolf, Heartbreaker Buckshot, Jingle Bell Chompy Mage, Solar Flare Aurora, Steel Plated Hood Sickle.

These are the ones people are talking about there being a lot of. 14 out of 31 is a higher percentage than 14 out of 48 (8 Giants, 8 S1 Cores, 24 S2 Cores, 8 LightCores).

Still, i agree that "altmageddon" is both a ridiculous word and an over-exaggeration.

- - -

Actual Variants (aka "Chase" Variants): 22 in Giants, 2 (so far) in Imaginators.

Giants: 6 Metallic (1 blue, 2 green, 3 purple), 3 GITD, 3 Sparkle, 3 White Flocked, 2 Stone, E3 Hot Dog, Employee Prism Break, Gold Flameslinger, Halloween Fright Rider, Pumpkin Eye-Brawl.

Imaginators: Clear Starcast and Pink Barbella.

And pretty much everyone agree that it's a good thing they toned down the number of these variants.

I keep seeing this come up. Please explain where you're getting that from.

SuperChargers had 34 SuperCharger figures and 32 vehicles. Of those, 14 were special SuperCharger figures (20 regular) and 12 were special vehicles (20 regular).

Are you including chase/rare figures or something?

10 original Superchargers, 8 reimagined Superchargers, 2 guest stars, and 20 vehicles for all of them. That's a total of 40.

Darks: Spitfire, SS Stealth Elf, TC Donkey Kong, HS Bowser, Hot Streak, Sea Shadow, Barrel Blaster, Clown Cruiser (8)
Legendaries: H Jet-Vac, BB Roller Brawl, Astroblast, Sun Runner (4)
Holidays: Eggcited Thrillipede, Frightful Fiesta, Missile-Tow Dive Clops, Birthday Bash BB Pop Fizz, Spring Dive Bomber (5)
Power Blues: Splat, DD Trigger Happy, Splatter Splasher, Gold Rusher (4)
Steel Plated: Smash Hit (1)
Nitros: Stealth Stinger, Soda Skimmer (2)
Golden: Hot Streak (1)
E3 Event Exclusive: Hot Streak (1)
Chase Variants: BB Roller Brawl, High Volt, LL Eruptor, Stormblade, Tomb Buggy, Shield Striker, Burn Cycle (7)

33 variants.
Which admittedly isn't more than the roster, but 33 variants out of 40 characters.

Wasn't Burn Cycle confirmed to be a custom? Stormblade also wasn't a chase, Snow-Brite was employee only and out of most peoples' reach.

That's the weirdest dupe post I've ever seen. [EDIT to correct unintentional double post]

lol, I had left a tab open after I posted and when I got back to it, I hit refresh for some reason instead of closing it. Didn't expect it to post again.

As for SuperChargers, I agree there were probably too many variants even though I don't count the chase/rares that don't change appearance in-game (I do count gold and event exclusive Hot Streak for that reason). There are almost 2/3 the number of in-game variants compared to the number of regular figures.

Patina Burn-Cycle is a real variant.

I was wrong on that.

Confirmed in game screen in SSC and in SI.

Also Solar Flare Aurora is a Target exclusive, at least for USA.

Actually, when I got the game, the additional level increase applies to both the regular and the variant. So I'm thinking a possible cap of 60...give or take.
Right now, it's 39 (unless you've got the chase variants of Starcast and Barbella, which would be 41).

my cap atm is 37, and I'm only missing Steel Plated Hood Sickle and Tri-Tip...with Legendary Tri-Tip getting sent to me soon ( a friend bought it for me as an early Christmas gift since he has a Toys R Us )....so if chase variants count it'd be 42 with all wave 1 & 2 Senseis
