Imaginators Level Cap

Someone has any idea about what is the starting level cap for ours imaginators? I know that it increases by 1 for each sensei, but where does it start? Like, in 10 maybe?

I've never seen the training bonus go below 10, so it's probably that. You should be able to get to at least 6 to use Mythic Gear too.

Noticed that on the Gamescom demo at least the starting level cap seem to be 15 (first sensei on the portal, in all gameplay I watched, increase the level cap to 16).

They should be capped at Level 1 at first. You'd have to purchase 19 Senseis (almost two-thirds of them) to reach the level cap of 20, which would certainly boost sales of the Sensei figures.

No, that'd be a surefire way to make sure no one ever buys crystals, since they have things locked behing levels. The battle classes are already locked, don't make that even worse.

I'm betting at first Imaginators will cap out at Level 10, since that was the original level cap for Skylanders. Then that way if you only want to level them up to 20 you only need to buy 8 more Senseis.

It can't be locked at level 1 at first because you unlock gear and attacks by leveling up to 2 and 5, respectively. I'm gonna guess 5 or 10 is the starting level.

The crystal starts at level 1 like any new character. It's maximum level when you have never put any Sensei on the portal is most likely 15. We don't know how high the max limit can be increased though.

That is one of the sure ways to make the game horrible. It would be waaaaaaay worst than the no reset Crystal issue we are already having.

I think you are right. The demo footage indicates a base of 15, although I can see 10 happening too. We do know that it caps above the usual 20 though.

The lowest level cap I have seen in videos is 8 so the cap is either 6 or 8 plus 31

I just thought of something...we know each Sensei will increase the cap for Imaginators, but what about the older toys & the Senseis? Are they still capped at 20 or do you think we'll finally see another cap increase to 25-30?

I think the sensei and regular skylanders will remain with a 20 level cap.

If the initial cap is 10, then the potential for level 41 skylanders exists. I don't think that is likely. Probably a level 30 max and Kaos does not grant an increase. The demos showed what happened when a sensei was put in for the first time, not anything prior. Buy just the starter pack, and you can max out at level 3. And yes, I find this to be worse than the no reset.

So.

I looked at Myskylanders' article since I didn't check it on the day.
Last info is that yes, they do start at level 1.

It means a)the guy was dodging questions and just said you have to train them,or
b) Wow Acti, you really don't us buying crystals since it's a waste of ****ing time if you don't want most Senseis

It doesn't surprised me. The level 1 cap was what I was expecting all along because if they started at level 10, people would only need to purchase anywhere from 6-8 (depending on your Starter Pack) Senseis to reach Level 20.

And considering sales were down significantly with SuperChargers, Activision was likely to increase the number of toys required to fully enjoy the new gimmick this year. Remember how PR kept saying how you only need 3 vehicles, one of each type, to beat SuperChargers? A lot of people probably didn't buy much more than that, leaving a lot of unsold vehicles on store shelves.

Yeah, but you up requirements and people get frustrated. You lock people out of content, less and less buy content. SuperChargers didn't sell well because most people aren't playing Skylanders for a racing game, or a super short game with nearly no replay value, or buying expensive vehicles over their actual champions.

I have been thinking on what I will be buying. If the Imaginators do really start with a level cap so low as some of you are saying (like, level cap start at 1) I don't think I will buy any crystal at all. Even the senseis, I have been questioning how many I would want. I want to see what's the deal is with those so called sensei elemental realms (or something similar, don't remember exactly). And yes, I really want to see if portal master rank will again allow us to change paths. If these elemental sensei things are significant (not simply a new name for elemental gates) or if I need one sensei of each element/class to unlock the ability the change the path on any skylander, then maybe I will get all the 10 sensei villains to get one of each element/class.

I have considererd different things for my collection. All 11 villains, 11 villains plus Crash, Just Kaos and 10 creation crystals (each of one element/class). Guess I'll have to wait till the release to decide what I will get besides the Starter pack.
