Vast seas stretch over the world, enticing all manner of pirate, adventurer, and capitalist alike. Rumors of a new era scatter across the wind, and the waters are littered with ships. Its been months since the Straw Hat pirates dissapeared, thought to have traveled to the new world, and because of this the commotion between pirate and marine has died down. Now is your time! Travel to the Grand Line and seek your fortune! Just watch out for the strength that lies ahead, and the fabled "devil fruit" users among the masses.
Loguetown, a bustling island in the East Blue and near the entrance of the Grand Line, is getting a lot of talk about it lately. Along with the massive influx of adventuring, there are rumors of a pirate captain who is actually recruiting almost anyone to be a member of his crew. Word is that he actually escaped Impel Down in one piece, and needs help getting to his old friends who await him near the new world.

~Rules~
1. I AM THE GM. I'll be lenient, but if I say to tone it down, please don't argue
2. No godmidding, marysuing, killing other players, etc. It's the normal kit and kaboodle, but some people just don't remember.
3. Don't get too dramatic with romance/violence. I know it's One Piece and fights happen, but I'm sorry to say that disemboweling is out of the question
4. Try to be in character and not meta game. Some times it's hard to write a response, I get it, but give at least three sentences, for the sake of continuity.
5. Devil fruits and conquerors haki is only accepted through prior concent of me via pm. Anything else goes, as long as it's within rule 2.

~Races~
I've provided little descriptions AS WELL as links, just in case you were further curious.
Human- The race that is literally everywhere, even on the Grand Line. There's nothing special about them at first, but humans actually hold the bragging rights for being the most technologically advanced.
Merfolk- Human on top, fish on the bottom, merfolk are one of the two main species that dwell under water. Mermen have more prominent fish features than the mermaids do. Most merfolk get their "land legs" at around age 30
Fishman- Cousins of the merfolk, fishmen are more humanoid and even born with legs, even though they retain a lot more fish features like webbed feet and gills. They are known to have a fighting style called "Fishman Karate"
Giants- These monolithic people are taller than the average man 100 times over. They have mostly human appearances, but usually have over-exaggerated features, such as a overly large torso or giant arms and the like.
Mink- Another humanoid species that is very rare to any place except the Grand Line, the Minks are anthro humans who take on the aspects of an animal, and are covered in fur.
Shandian- Only recently coming down from the white sea, their home in the sky, Shandians are humans with small wings on their back. They do not understand some earthly concepts like "gold" or "rubber", so there are a lot of new things for them to explore.

~Haki~
Same as races, I've provided a little sometin-sometin for those who want to know more.
Armament- The willpower of protection, armament haki is used to protect yourself and boost your attacks. Most haki is not seen by the naked eye, but advanced users can go so far as changing their skin to black when they harden themselves.
Observation- Also called "Mantra", this haki is used to spot things at far distances, understand weaknesses, even predict your enemies movements. It takes a lot of training however to successfully use this haki.
Conquerors- Haki of kings, only one in a million ever gain this power. It cannot be learned, and is the willpower of absolute dominance. If you are subjugated to conquerors haki, the side effects range from feeling sick, to being filled with fear, or even falling unconscious.

~Devil Fruits~
Mysterious fruits that hold great powers once eaten, but also curse you with the inability to swim. It is said that these are the powers of the Sea Devil himself, and if you are to eat one, the oceans hate you, rendering you immobile as soon as you touch it. They also taste like poison, the worst possible taste you can ever imagine, and you only need a single bite to be granted power and cursed forever. No-one can eat two devil fruits at once, as the powers in each fruit will fight eachother and rip the host to shreds.
There are three types of fruit; Logia, Paramecia, and Zoan, but the common man would not know so much about the devil fruit

Devil Fruit: Force-Force fruit- Has the ability to manipulate and create kinetic energy on touch.
Equipment: 80lbs seaprizm stone hammer. Other than that, he doesn't really need anything.
Appearance: Jack is a thin and lanky man, standing about 5'9". He wears a large, flowing trench-coat but no shirt underneath, loose pants, and heavy boots. He wears a pair of shiny brass goggles on his head, usually sitting atop his short, unkempt black hair. There's almost always a smile on his face.
Personality: Gonzales is head strong and adventurous, always finding something to do, even if that endeavor isn't exactly legal. He doesn't see pirates as people who pillage and murder, instead he views them as brave adventures. He is steadfast to help, and witty to boot.
Backstory: As a pirate who escaped Impel Down, he had a of marines on his tail. After a while of hiding and recuperating however, he was presumed dead. Now healed, he is determined to find his old crew again!

Nickname: Billy the Kidd

Haki: Slight Perception, Skilled Armament
Devil Fruit: None
Equipment: His own creation, the "Ballista Blades". Two swords with curved blades with gun barrels along the spines of the swords. He also has a satchel full of tools and knick nacks, as well as ammo.
Appearance: 5'11", slightly taller than his friend, Jack. His attire is fairly simple, sleeveless shirt, form fitting pants, and sandals. His hair is long and sandy, pushed back most of the time, and he has a hint of facial hair on his chin. He wears a metal visor on his head, with a thin red strip of lens across it. He flips it over his eyes when aiming or looking around.
Personality: Billy is obnoxious and easily entertained, so he is often laughing at something. He is also loyal and trustworthy, fighting with his life to save those who are his friends. He loves gambling, and hates losing, a bad combo.
Backstory: Billy and Jack had been friends since childhood, and they often adventured together; finding caves on their island, or even rowing out to the land masses nearby. He was by Jack's side all the way till Impel Down, where he helped Blackbeard break everyone out. Jack was in bad shape, so he took his friend to a remote island for him to recuperate. It's been months now, and Jack is determined to join back up with the rest of his crew.
Other: He actually has cybernetic attachments, but good luck figuring out what they are.

Nickname: "Power Jaw" Denison
Age: 34

Race: Fishman- Dunkleosteus

Haki: Observation Haki (Moderately Skilled)
Devil Fruit: N/A
Equipment: None needed. His natural bony plates are strong enough to deflect bullets, and able to withstand cannonballs. However, with enough force his bony plates will visibly crack and break.
Appearance: Denison is a 18ft tall fishman, that resembles the prehistoric fish Dunkleosteus. He has a under bite that protrudes 3 inches from the rest of his face. Starting from his upper jaw down to his waist are thick bony plates that protect his upper body. His legs and arms though they do not visibly show, also have bony plates but those grow under the skin and faint lines can be seen. The bony plates on his abdomen and back make the same resemblance to a humans chest and what looks like abs and pectorals and other muscles are actually these bony plates. The same with his back, though the smaller plates are flesh with his spine while the larger plates are flesh with the larger portions of his back.
Personality: Denison is a predator, nothing else to it. He will study his "prey" or opponents before actually attacking. This tactic sometimes has his opponent attack him first. He will wait out the abuse until his opponent is either exhausted or he has found the most effective place to attack them and then will. He has a bite that is strong enough to crush through most materials, and to eviscerate the flesh and bone through his prey. Denison is usually laid back and quiet mostly just keeping to himself. If he has a problem with something he will state it no matter how blunt it is. He loves to adventure and is not afraid to show his love of it.
Backstory: Denison is from a deep water tribe of Fishmen that resemble prehistoric marine life. Denison is amongst the largest of his people. He ventured far from his home and learned of a whole other world beyond his and hasn't went back since. He has traveled from town to town learning new things and exploring this world. He has heard from the common man that there is only one way into the grand line and that is through reverse mountain. Thus he has traveled to Logue town in search of a crew to join to get there.
Other: Denison has an obsession for milk, and is usually seen carrying a 40 gallon jug of it on his back.

Race: Fishman - Electric PufferFish

Equipment: Large SeaStone Shield, a Medic kit, SeaKing Tunic Armor, Coral Saber
Appearance: 16 ft tall, 2 tons in weight, Sparkticus is a rarity of a split of a electric eel and Pufferfish, primarily pufferfish, the barbs all over his body are electrified and will shock anyone that threatens him. He has these barbs all over his body and has them as his finger nails. He carries the shield on his arm at all times and his saber is placed on his back. Very Muscular, thick skinned. Flat, elongated barbs for hair, they straighten when he "puffs" out in defense. Wears a doctor's coat over his armor.
Personality: Sparkticus is very protective of his friends. He is loyal and true hearted. He is usually quiet and timid, unless you try to harm him or his friends, then he aims to destroy. Sparkticus is a bit of a self proclaimed doctor but very skilled. Sparkticus likes to smile and talk to his shield as if it were a pet. He is afraid of not being strong enough to protect his friend. He hates being alone and doesn't like to talk to people much.
Backstory: He got kicked out of his fishman village for unknown reasons. He has to feel needed and helpful. He lost all of his money and stole to put money into becoming a doctor. Becoming the best of his kind, he decided to move on to help people in the rest of the world. The opportunities of potential brought him to loguetown.
Other: In the battle field, he is the tank and the medic. He has a strong issue with tourettes, with random moments of swearing and stuttering, unable to control himself. Outside of the battlefield, He has the strange ability to disappear in a blink of a eye and reappear in front of someone instantly. He doesn't know that he does this most of the time.

Appearance: Rather tall at about 6,5 he isboften slumped over sue to his more cramped working spaces. He wears coveralls without an undershirt, his upper expised body is riddled and covered with many burn marks his black hair is kept short to avoid his "welding tool" from burning it too badly. He is clean shaven and his face is reletively chissled. He is lean often forgetting to eat.
Personality: Ornery, cynicle, and passice aggresive, he will be the first to get disgruntled over a broken tool, weapon, ship. And the first to clean up and fix it. However a strugle he can br, he is also caring and compasionate often putting himself in danger for the safety of others. Those scars didnt get themselves.
Backstory:Rex... Was always in one way or another and engineer. Building, crafting, ect. He became a shipwrite early on and even joined a crew at the age of 17, after a few years though his captains went missing and in the midst of the anger and negativity he left. Settling as a teacher and a mechanic at water7 for a time, however he keeps the name of his crew and his exploits eith them a secret. The saddest moment of his career was leaving that crew, they were, are his only real family anymore his family cutting contact with him after he joined that crew. Constant smoking aside though he copes well.... "BLOODY HELL DID YOU BREAK SOMETHING AGAIN!"
Other: Although he will never admit it, at heart he is still a pirate. And always will be a pirate. The open sea will always call his name name the thought of riches will always tempt him. It would take very little to get him to throw away the quiet life, even if he acts like it wont.
