Different Fighter Types

So I thought about different fighter types for Skylanders like in some fighting games as some just seem perfect for some categories.

Close-Up - don't/barely have any ranged attacks
Ranged - don't/barely have any close-up attacks
Defensive - usually characters with a shield/high defense
Strategic - characters with complex gameplay and for more experienced players.
Spammy - characters that are the best when spamming

SSA:
Close-Up - smilie His third attack is pretty useless and he has some of the strongest close-up attacks.
Ranged - smilie Doesn't have any close-up attacks and rapid fire ranged attacks.
Defensive - smilie Has a shield and his spikes keep enemies away from him.
Strategic - smilie Has a wall and target-searching skulls, you need to know how to handle that to make her a beast.
Spammy - smilie I think that's self-explainotary.

SG:
Close-Up - smilie Doesn't have any actual ranged attacks.
Ranged - smilie Can hit a lot of enemies at once with the bullets and rockets.
Defensive - smilie Shield and ice wall... 'nuff said.
Strategic - smilie The targets are enough evidence.
Spammy - smilie The blast is the only usefull attack.

SSF:
Close-Up - :sloobertooth: Really no ranged attack.
Ranged - smilie Can't take a lot of damage and has very quick ranged attacks.
Defensive - smilie All about throwing the enemies away and defending with the shield.
Strategic - smilie With all that reflecting, she's the most strategic character.
Spammy - smilie Considered one of the strongest characters because of the insane bee spamming.

STT:
Close-Up - smilie Quick and defensive close-up fighter.
Ranged - smilie Can fill the screen with dem bats and then unleash a tornado of death.
Defensive - smilie Giant shield and overall buff and heavy character
Strategic - smilie Has a lot of range and power when you combine his attacks.
Spammy - smilie She's a strategic spammer, you need to combine her attacks very quickly.

SSC:
Close-Up - smilie Strong attacks and pretty quick at swinging the chain.
Ranged - smilie Extremely quick and sharp attacks.
Defensive - smilie Absorbing projectiles and and keeping the enemies on distance.
Strategic - smilie You can't just spam a button with her, you need to have a strategy.
Spammy - smilie She's very strong but spamming is really the only way.

Of course you don't have to reason every character, I was just bored.

Didn't we have a topic like this on General a bit more than a year ago?

Mike Stout and Paul Reiche's presentation on SSA years ago has them explain that, to design the entire game without having to mold it to every single character, and yet not feeling too samey with everyone, they did it by archetypes - both enemies and Skylanders correspond to different strategies in combat and movement and different priorities as to who attack or avoid.

For Trap Team, I'd probably say Head Rush for Close-Up and Ka-Boom for Ranged.

Golden Queen did nothing wrong and she is best evil waifu.
Check this out! Please?

Yeah, but I made this for people to choose characters they think fit the categories the best. I don't know anything about the first topic, I'm sorry if this is just a repeat.

It's been long enough to not be a repost, don't sweat it. I just know someone made an extremely similar list long before, but they made up names for the archetypes instead.

Astroblast, to me, is a very defensive character.

If you use astroblast a lot in the arenas, utilizing his third attack is key. It only does about 3 damage, but it's knock back is incredible. Use that moment while the enemy recovers to charge up a Lazer, or just spam it to knock large enemies off the world.
