I'd say it's pretty darn violent. Like, really violent. I might even go to the extent to say it's ultra violent.

Well, our eyes perceive it as yellow because its thermal radiation peaks in the yellow part of the visible light spectrum (and our eyes are obviously sensitive to visible light radiation), but the color we perceive further depends on the type of telescope with which we view it.

For example, if you looked at a picture of the Sun taken with an X-ray telescope, you'd see green.

While the Sun does emit some UV rays from the chromosphere, its thermal radiation peaks in the visible light spectrum.

Color is simply a way for our brain to identify different wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation anyway. Nothing really has color.
