If you like sci fi adventure and technobabble with a touch of historic locales, then I'd say so yes. Just be aware that it's a lot of sci fi stuff and it's going to get silly at times.

As for where to start, I started with the revived series (9th Doctor onward) and a lot of other people do too. There's over 50 years of Doctor Who, a good bit of the original material already lost. The revived series is kinda set to where while knowing about the franchise's past can be rewarding in the form of references, it's not necessary in order to understand what's going on and enjoy it.

Seeing as it's my favorite show, yes. I started with the revived series (2005 onwards, starting with the ninth doctor) and haven't really watched the original series. I think the revived series is a good place to start, but they do have some references to earlier seasons (especially in the later seasons of the revived series).

But if you don't know where you can find it besides youtube, Hulu has it.

Start with the original 1963 story, "An Unearthly Child," the first third Doctor story "Spearhead from Space," or the 2005 reboot with the episode "Rose." You could maybe also start with Ark in Space if you wanted to jump into fan favorite 4th Doctor Tom Baker (I love him as the Doctor).

You should start from the 2005 series up to present but u recommend you watch the classic series the best way to enjoy it is to jump from era to era and find which doctor you like the mot the classic series just had self contained stories that spanned multiple eps like a two parter except if might be 4 or 8 eps Long. I recommend for the classic series if you have to start with a doctor with Tom bakers run he is the best. And for individual stories of the classic series are: the Daleks, robot, trial of a time lord, the three doctors and the two doctors, the deadly assessing and just the first Ep of the unearthly child story

Some times I really don't like dr who, for example
i really hated the farting alien episodes
. But the show gets REALLY good when we see the darker side of the DR. And don't even get me started on the war doctor...... So good smilie

Make sure the you wrap up in your long scarf, make sure the you have plenty to eat, preferably jelly babies, make sure that your bow tie is firmly on your collar, because bow ties are cool, remember don't be a pudding brain and ask silly questions because the oldest question in the universe will be answered in the show. Sit back, relax because by the time you've finished watching this show, you'll be saying "I don't wanna go".

In all seriousness, start from the episode 'rose', that's the first episode of the 2005 reboot.

For you, I'd say start with Season 1 of the reboot, from 2005. 9th Doctor.

It progressively gets more and more complicated so make sure you watch every episode and don't skip around.

Well at least if it's a large or even life sized Tardis that's pretty impressive.
