Alright, so I'm unable to select certain vehicle mods for whatever reason, does anyone know if there's a restriction/requirement for certain pieces? Or is it bugged?

is it for all your vehicles? im getting it on sea shadow

Actually yes, every vehicle except Crypt Crusher has inaccessible parts.

Now to clarify, I HAVE found the mods, so it's not like Supercharge exclusive pieces (I lack Nightfall, so I know I don't have those two parts), but it's like my Reef Ripper doesn't allow me to use the Armor pieces.

Right, I thought there might be an upgrade lock on certain parts, but perhaps collecting a mod for a vehicle while piloting another might foul it up a bit...

I collected road burners and they didn't show up in the mod menu, I went into blueprints and back into mod menu, and they were there

It's happened to me with Sea Shadow, Crypt Crusher and Sky Slicer. The thing about Sea Shadow I have ALL the mods (except for supercharged) but I can only put 1 mod on. Seriously this is so messed up and broken. MY SEA SHADOW CAN'T LOOK COOL!

I think this is what happens when you get it in the wrong zone and your not using that vehicle

I only have 1 mod for Sky Slicer not working. That massive jet thing that looks like the basic one but bigger if you know what I mean

I'm currently having this problem with Hot Streak and Reef Ripper.
I have all the mods for both of them (according to the blueprints) yet they won't switch all of them.

Alright, I'm glad it's not just me, but I am NOT glad it's happening in the first place.

Ya know, I'm not even paying attention to this feature. Where can you go an see if you have a mod or not to see if you can equp.

If you try to equp, what happens that's broke? The mod doesn't appear in your list...or...

This belongs in the bug section I believe.

My vechicles work fine, what system are you playing on?

Maybe that has something to do with it.

Mentioned in the bugs, but... it seems my parts are slowly filtering in and becoming available! How strange.

No patch, well there was a day one patch for me (NZ), but I'm not sure what it did, it didn't fix this bug though.

But yeah, like I said, somehow mods become accessible over time, I think the game just takes a while to recognize the parts.

Hmm... I might have to check my Sea Shadow! I MUST WEAR THOSE KRAKEN FINS OR THE MANTA FINS MOD. GIMMMMIEEEEEE

Well for the sake of comparison, there was one thing.
On Sunday, my Dark Hot Streak and Dark Sea Shadow had NO mods available beyond the default ones, in spite of the fact I'd collected them. My Sea shadow only had Kraken Coating and Bio luminescence engine (the other two mods weren't showing up), and my Hot Streak has everything but ONE set of tires available.
Check back on Monday, and my Dark Hot Streak and Sea Shadow have ALL mods available, funnily enough my Hot Streak is still missing those tires...

Yeah, it's strange.

Check the Pause menu > My Team and tap left

Is there an "Ownership" option, or do you just have Blueprint/Upgrades/Reset?

If you have that option, it means you don't own the vehicle, so it won't let you fully mod it.

but if there's an "ownership" button in that menu, it means the game thinks you don't (a friend's or something).

So, select the ownership button, then select YES in the dialog that opens.

I'm having this trouble too. I have the xbox 360 too but I only have the instant Hot Streak and no real vehicles. Cannot mod a thing on it and I've unlocked a few, including all of it's tires. I thought it was because I didn't buy a real vehicle...

That might still be the reason though

I had this problem yesterday! I've collected mods for Reef Ripper and Sea Shadow but I couldn't equip them anywhere. So I just went to the main menu and back into the game, after that they were there.

Yeah there's a ownership bug for me, every time i turn on the game and go into stats it says I don't own it,

Seems you need to claim ownership THEN leave to the main menu and come back.

Yes! Finally got all my vehicle mods to work! Thank you!

Havnt had the problem at all on xbox1 , but sometimes when I trying to select mods it takes several rotations for 1 or 2 to show up possibly to do with if I'm also slightly moving the joystick up aswell as across.

But same with things like elemental power , ownership is a big problem people don't check. Also by resetting ( with the reset option, don't just turn it off n on again!!! ) your console I've found generally reconfigures your game if there's something weird going on .

I was racing with my father a couple hours ago and we were both using the same Sea Shadow... Except his in-game model had the supercharged set on it.
You might think the game automatically gives other mods to Player 2 to avoid confusion and that might be true... What's weird is that I don't have Nightfall so those mods are technically locked for me.

Did this happen to anyone else...?

Strange, it could've just been a visual change to differentiate between your drivers, a purely visual change rather than performance?
Mostly it just seems like it just so happened to grab the mods that weren't available, and since we've proven the game can be a bit funny about vehicle mods...

OH MY GOD AM I EVER HAPPY!

Basically, I figured out something, I was going into a Sea Zone and just in case I took ownership of it BEFORE I went into the Sea Zone, Opened the mod thing, THEY WERE THERE! Im so happy that my Sea Shadow looks cool as ever

So I've ran into this problem AGAIN, except it's proving exceptionally stubborn. My Tomb Buggy and Shield Striker simply will NOT recognize the additional mods. I've tried many, many, many times, and it's just not sticking.

Claim ownership, remove vehicle from the portal then load it again.
