I'm not trying to start a religious war, but more of a philosophy inquiry....

I'm not debating either if God is real or not. With that in mind, what makes an entity a God? With our modern aspects of God, it's a being that has always existed and will always exist. and this being knows everything, and as also created the universe. My question is would a God still be a with one or more of these aspects gone? For example the Greek gods where born, they are not all knowing, and they weren't all powerful but yet people back them considered them gods.

I just want to here your thoughts about how this :3

Serious answer, probably a combination of omnipotency,omniscience and omnipresence. I'd say if you have one you're a pretty good contender,but you're definately a god with two or more. I mean,just with omnipresence you might as well be one,if you're everywhere and everything,but you need to be able to do the god thing so the others help.

I guess it just depends on the religion and what you believe.

Religion wise? If people simply believe in it and worship it. No seriously, anything can be a god there.

Fictional mythology wise? It generally entails a deity that has an absolute power over something, and has the responsibility of watching over that. It can be anything from an element (Poseidon, God of the Sea/Water), to people (Hades, God of the Dead), a place (Zeus, as well as being God of Thunder, is God of Sky), or even just and idea or concept (Eros, the God of Love).

Those are all examples from Greek mythology.

There is no definitive God. There is only a result of humans ideologies that are in constant struggle with each other.

Well, being things like Omnipresent, omnipotent, and even MORE "Omni"'s would help...
