People are not going to get into it like the figures. On Reddit people unanimously agree that figures are better and cards shouldn't replace them for certain things.

Figures. If you travel alot or don't have the space due to skylanders/infinity/dementions etc, then Cards do sound good. I get the figures.

The cards aren't as interesting as the figures and not really as hyped. Also, could be worse, they aren't in rarity levels are they? As far as I'm aware, you have the same odds of getting any given card as you do at getting any other given card.

They only really work majorly in two games at the moment. Plus nick naming cards is weird.

So far it's only a set of Animal Crossing. Like 100 or so characters from Animal Crossing got cards sold in blind packs for Happy Home Designer instead of doing figures for all of them.
