Yeah, since I was 12 actually.
I'm always worried because I feel like if hell is real, that I would end up there.
Scary to think about.

I'm scared of how I'll die, and I'm scared of leaving people behind, but I'm not scared of death itself.

Death is the only certainty. I see no reason to fear the inevitable.

Now that doesn't mean I welcome death, when it is my time, I will know it, until then, I will fight on.

Death is one of the reasons why I feel that I would be better off having a religion. The concept of heaven is way better than there being nothing and just not existing (especially when you lose a loved one since you know you can't see them again even when you're also dead)

tbh I actually like the concept of reincarnation/having another life more so than heaven.

I am somewhat, idk when but the thought of not being alive and seeing nothing scares me. I'm probably afraid because I do not know what lies on the other side. No one knows what is the other side and no one can tell anyone of what is the other side like.

@HIR: Oh hey, nice to see you around. Hope you're doing OK.

------------

I don't fear death. I would willingly put my life at risk even to save a stranger (well, so long as said stranger wasn't trying to take lives or something), let alone save my loved ones.

I guess I just don't see much value in my own life in the grand scheme of things. I feel like there are a lot more valuable lives that could be lost than mine. That includes my friends and family.

At the same time though, I realise people may be upset by my passing. So I don't want to cause that to happen. But this is kinda overpowered by the fact my life really isn't too important. While these people may be upset if I left their lives, they will still live their lives as they set out to. With or without me, they will find their happiness. It's not like I haven't left someone's life before. You don't need to die to do that.

As for manner of death, I'd rather it be something natural. I'd preferably like to die in peace.

I would say I do. I think I'm more scared of dying than death itself , when I think about it it's pretty depressing because I'm pretty young , I haven't even done really anything or accomplished goals or anything , if that makes sense. Death itself is very scary as well however I think it's less scary than that , but thinking of just dying makes me horrified. I try not to think about things like that and remember that life is indeed for living , and that you should while you still can. I do admit that I didn't realize it a few times (especially last December when something horrible nearly happened) but I'm glad I do now.

Of course I do, but it's not like that changes anything. Every time I hop into a car I might die before I reach my destination. Every time I eat something I could choke to death. Every time I go to sleep I could simply never wake up.

Think about it, everything that you've ever seen and known. All those years of experiences, just to meet an unexpected, "mundane" end where you're completely powerless to do anything.
Once when I was a teen I almost chocked on a large piece of candy. I felt really pitiful and sad afterwards when I thought about it. To think that such a small, quiet struggle could end something that you've worked so hard on.

Does that mean that I should be afraid of everything, or that life's not worth living? Of course not. The way I see it, this life is all I have. My future isn't predetermined, and when I die I've done what I could considering the circumstances. Whatever happens I'm happy with what I got. I could've easily died as an infant because I was born a month prematurely, and anything is better than nothing.

Yes, I do. However, I'm more scared about the way I'll die - I'd much rather die peacefully in my sleep, at an old age. Then again, I'm sure everyone does.

I've never feared death. I've made a commitment that nobody, even If I was held at gunpoint, can make me do what I believe is wrong. From killing an innocent bystander to even saying one swear word.

I don't fear death, I just find it an inconvenience leaving everything behind.

Yes. Even though I'm religious it's one of my worst fears. More other peoples' deaths than mine, but I also hate the thought of leaving this life behind. But the thought of people I love dying is one of my worst fears, even if there is a next life I'd still have to get through this one and it worries me.

Yes. I'm also worried about how I will die, because while I do want to just go peacefully in my sleep, I also think it's terrifying just going to sleep, and just going, never to see my family in my last moments before I die. But I guess the worst way to go would be suffocation, because you struggle to breathe for about three minutes before you pass out, and then die.

As others said, more the concept of it than the actual fact. Like, what if the belief is wrong and tough luck now you're going to someplace you didn't even care about(or don't)? Does everything you thought of, projects, ideas, great things that didn't get done, just go poof because even if you wrote a ton down the context is lost? There's also the obvious fear of leaving loved ones behind, but the doubt of being right about the concept really seems to hit it when I start thinking too much about it.

I don't fear the fact I'll die, but I do fear the fact I'll never be around to satisfy my curiosity, life is a short thing, and there are a lot of things I want to live through, experiment or even see happening, movies/series I want to watch, games I want to play, places I want to go, all of that would simply never be satisfied and I'd stop thinking or existing, not being able to be around when a thing I wanted to witness happens or to know what will happen in the future with a lot of stuff and people I care. I guess I'm less afraid of dying and more afraid of having regrets when the time comes.
