What is in your eyes called a present? [CLOSED]

Could be anything. Birthday presents, Xmas or even Thanksgiving


To me, a present is only a present when you're not the one who paid for something you recieved. The other person who gave you the present does it out of generousity. I don't call it a present anymore as soon as I have to pay one bit of money for something I recieve, because that's either a purchase or something you're jumping next to to help out somebody pay something they want to give you.

EDIT: A present-as somebody made me remind this-is also a present when the other person is expecting notthing in return. Honestly, if they do, they should say it's a trade, not a present.
