I thought that it was alright but I can't stand it now as it's always played on the radio, on commercials, at shops... just everywhere.

It used to play a lot everywhere where I live but now I hardly hear it. It's been completely replaced with ****ty pop songs, all about the same topic. What annoys me is the lack of diversity in today's music.

I guess that's why I kind of appreciate K-pop and J-pop music since they're music videos have diversity and the bands can usually dance, so they're interesting to watch, while we're stuck with watching two people ****ing or just general porn videos. I appreciate artists who don't bother with what every other artist is doing and just doing they're own thing like Lorde and Imagine Dragons. Bruno Mars is pretty good with this too, but I'm not a huge fan of his voice and Uptown Funk is really the only song I like from him.

I really dislike Uptown Funk. Modern music has a lot of trash.

But so does older music.

If you think all modern music is junk then you aren't looking beyond the Top 100, which usually consists of Pop, Rap, Soul, and Country with a few Alternative or Rock songs sprinkled in. Lots of people have different opinions and if you let the majority's opinion represent all music, then yes, a lot of people will trash on modern music. There are pockets of gold in music that all you have to do is look for.

^ lmao i know of a lot of modern music that are good, like the ones i've previously mentioned and most of guy sebastion's music. i just wish they were more popular. xD

I honestly really like pop music. It's just that most songs on the radio from the past 3 years have been really, really bad. 2013 was bad, 2014 was worse and didn't have as many good songs to balance it out, and 2015 hasn't really produced much of anything that could be considered more than decent imo. I can think of about 5 that I liked this year, the rest was all just boring or really terrible.

Same. I honestly do really love pop music and it's one of my favourite music genres, but the way it's done today is just terrible. It makes me wonder if it's because the music industry is running out of ideas or something.
