I just picked up a PS4 starter pack with the gold hot streak at a Target store (central NJ) tonight. It was 50% off using the Target cartwheel app. They must still be trickling into stores as I have checked stock at the same Target store at least 5 times since launch without ever previously seeing a starter pack with the gold hot streak. Keep vigilantly checking stores if you're still looking for one of these!

I'm still on the hunt for a second one, I found the one and only in my town, and haven't found another one since. I'm trying to get another one as someone offered to trade a Golden Hot Streak for an E3 Hot Streak which I need!

They are the same, just the one from the iOS Starter Pack comes up as a Special in console versions. As if it were a chase variant, looks the same and everything, just comes up as special.

I wonder if they'll put Golden Hot Streak in single packs, or if its limited to PS4 and XBOX ONE starters?

Has anybody found the Artwork for this yet? ....or done it...lol. Need it if i'm to make a card for it.
Would do it myself but i realy don't have the time.

But the Gold one is classed as chase (I've been corrected multiple times because I used not call it a chase) as you have to go searching for it, rather than just go to the store and pick one up.

Golden Hot Streak is technically an in-game variant. Then again, so is the E3 edition.

Both are in-game but Golden Hot Streak is still classed as a Chase Variant because he ins't just there, you actually have to go searching stores to find him and you might get one if you're lucky.

The fact that its only in new system starters makes me think it wouldn't be in a single pack.

Kind of like how Special Hot Streak is only in iOS starters.

Yeah, that's what's putting me on the fence, it could come in single packs but I doubt it.

Well we will just have to see. Even Gnarly Tree Rex got a standalone release later on.

And whose bright idea was it to have a chase/in-game variant hybrid anyways? Skylanders is not at all collector friendly and oddly rewarding to scalpers.

That's what made me go out and actually search for the Golden Hot Streak. I was so happy when I rang up a kmart and they had one here in my town in Australia. Think it was the only one in this town

Funny story my Gamestop had one Gold Hot Streak after I preordered Roy amiibo on 1/21 but then Feb 2 after preordered ryu amiibo they still had Gold almost a month nobody buy Gold so I finally Brought plus discount cost $40

Question I have about the gold hot streak. I think it was said somewhere that this starter pack comes in its own case, so might that mean it has a different number on the box? Could anyone post the number on the box, just in case it is a different number?

yes it has a different number on the box. Gold Version is #L2158 reg i think was L2157 or 6 its a small sticker below the barcode to let you know what is the gold one.

I'm not entirely sure which Hot Streak is rarer and more valuable; the E3 Event Edition or the Golden type.

Neither there are way to many of each now. The ios one will be the rare one. It registers on the consoles as special hot streak how cool is that?

I thought it only registered in the iOS game as special, but not consoles?

Confirmed on Xbox One and Wii U that iOS Hot Streak is registered separately as Special; we have both on our collection screens, the regular Hot Streak and the Special iOS Hot Streak.

Ps3 also as special. So 6 total hot streaks with the instant th hat is crazy cool
