Quote: StormDragon21Anyway, I don't see how you can draw Chimera and Leo but not Pyra. Same basic dragon shape, you know.
This is speaking from someone with a small history in animation. While Pyra DOES have the dragon shape Chimera and Leo have, Pyra has a lot of...details.
Details are fine, and lot of animators can animate details. However, it's hard to do. Leo and Chimera, while having some detail, are fairly simple to draw and animate. Pyra has individual wing bones, a spiky tail end, tons of horns and spine spikes on it's neck, etc. Not to mention it's a tiny drawing, so it's hard to make out all that detail in the first place. While I was typing this, I didn't even notice at first there was a dagger holster on it's hip until I went back to edit some things.
Take the Disney movie Snow White, for example. During the scene when the Evil Queen makes her transformation potion, she looks for the right book that contains the spell. In the scene she picks up the book, and take a look at that moment:
Look at how detailed and painted all those book are compared to the one she interacts with. Not only is it a way that makes it stand out, but it's easier to animate. It has simple colors, simply shading, simple design.
And if this is something that Disney, master of animation, had to do then imagine poor porsche's shoes. They're a beginner!
